Blackhawks: Jimmy Waite stones Mike Modano in Alumni Game

The Blackhawks didn't win Saturday's Alumni Game against the Minnesota North Stars. But Jimmy Waite won the (unofficial) play of the day.

The former Blackhawks goaltender made an incredible stick save on a breakaway from Minnesota's Mike Madano late in the third period.

Here's what both players had to say about the save.

Waite, 46, was the No. 8 selection by the Blackhawks in the 1987 NHL Draft. He played eight seasons in Chicago, from 1988 to 1993 and 1994 to 1997.

The North Stars won the game, 6-4.
