Chicago Bears nose tackle Eddie Goldman became the first player on the team to opt-out of the 2020 NFL season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, leaving a gigantic hole (literally and figuratively) in the middle of the Bears' defensive front.
Goldman joins a growing list of NFL players who are choosing to sit out the season instead of taking the risk of contracting COVID-19.
Naturally, Bears fans reacted to the news on Twitter.
