Sports Business Minute: College Bowl payouts surpass $500 million

In 2015, television dollars dominated the world of sports.

In fact, Bowl games paid more than a half billion dollars to college football conferences and schools last season, the most ever said CSN Sports Business Insider, Rick Horrow. There was also an increase of almost $200 million from the final season of the Bowl Championship Series to the first of the College Football Playoff.

In the MLB, theArizona Diamondbacks landed a new TV deal worth more than $1.5 billion. And the NHL signed a $600 million digital deal that inevitbaly will change the landscape of digital sports media.
