Sports Business Minute: NFL never sleeps and money never stops

Share

Forbes came out with their "Business of Football" report this September and as CSN Sports Business Insider, Rick Horrow, highlights, the average NFL franchise value is nearly $2 billion, up 38% from last year.

Any guesses who has the biggest franchise value?
.....

Why of course, the Dallas Cowboys have even surpassed Real Madrid's 3.2 billion worth as the most valuable franchise in sports. The Cowboys are now worth a whopping $4 billion.

The Chicago Bears are up there as well, landing at #8 in the NFL with a value of $2, 450 million.

The rise of NFL teams's worth doesn't exactly come as a surprise given the league's push towards international expansion. In fact, there are going to be three NFL games this year in London.

Likewise, the league cashes in on every opening they get. For example, Thursday Night Football on the NFL Network has quickly become an entire television package similar to Sunday broadcasts on Fox and other networks.
