Sports Business Minute: Nike pays MJ really, really well

Share

It must feel really good to be Michael Jordan.

According to CSN Sports Business Insider Rick Horrow, MJ's Nike deal put $100 million in his pocket in 2014. Compared to $94 million his entire NBA career with the Bulls, something sure went right over the past 12 months. (Who else wants to be like Mike?)

Sponsorships clearly run the gamut in every professional sport, but Hanes, Gatorade and Nike will always be the top slot, says Horrow.

In related news, the NBA season is only a month and a half away. That was quick, wasn't it?
