Dan Hayes

Dan Hayes, a native of Northern California, came to CSNChicago.com in 2012 after spending six seasons as the San Diego Padres beat reporter for the North County Times in San Diego. Along with earning an Associated Press Sports Editors (APSE) award for his coverage of the Padres, Hayes also spent three seasons as the publications beat writer for the top-ranked San Diego State men’s basketball team. In addition, he was a general assignment reporter covering NASCAR, UFC, high school sports and the Little League World Series. A graduate of San Diego State, Hayes joined the North County Times in 2004 from the Vallejo (Calif.) Times-Herald, where he covered preps sports for two years.
