The Bears have a tough schedule right out of the gate what do you think about it partner. I went back and looked you know Lovie Smith has opened with a playoff games since 2005. Beginning with the Washington Redskins. Remember that game. Only twice since overs until four have the Bears have not opened with a playoff team of the team you're going to the playoffs are coming off the playoffs. So you know there -- no stranger to tough games right out of the box -- also went back and checked. The reason why you can relax -- the last time that the Falcons want in Soldier Field Jay Cutler was four months old. Yeah. Not I have an argument that means I think it's important. There. Bobo do everybody -- -- look at this thing as saying well you know way of of what. First ball you know Atlanta has an outstanding defense everybody knows that -- -- and they improved to boomer with Ray Edwards began the defense -- -- What the world's gonna happen without offensive line. When you get your fix on on what are you you felt that often tomorrow and improved in the course of pre season are they ready for a challenge like this one. You know I do that's actually two questions I think they improved enormously I think the confidence of gave -- me on the right side and jamarcus -- just got better and better. You know are -- good you know the difference between being good and just skating and being better. I thought they improved enormously are they ready for what's gonna be coming. You know John Abraham and I think the Atlanta defense gets overlooked because the offense is so -- everyone knows Matty ice and -- why and -- Julio Jones and Tony Gonzales and -- Michael Turner's third leading rusher in the league. And they forget that this team the Bears are opening now with the three straight teams all ranked in the top I believe the top seven -- seven or nine top seven. In and points defense so nothing is gonna come easy and I think the key is going to be. Can they leave the tackles without all kinds of help because that they have to start going back to that sort of thing where they've got to keep tight ends in and -- and this and that. I think now you start seeing the offense pulling back. And the other thing though it to me it's a lot of this will be in the game planning if they let these kids come off the ball bounced our program director of these kids how. But -- don't let these guys come off the ball and in there and smack you -- Abraham on the back I hit people a little bit. Put him back on the heels make -- think about the run that's the best they can do for this this young offensive line. And wanted to bring it to you which Arnold that hey let's get this other stuff up. The timing aspect of things you only see offensive lines really start to blend together when they have -- understand where the other guy's going to be could be a run blocking or pass protection. When they have to pass a guy off and try to go to the second level in the run game. Or switch a guy off in the passing game and sit back and wait until that other defender comes around -- How did did you steal enough development that they're gonna resist because that's what we're using now all the blitz packages and everything -- president holding onto throughout the pre season. Yeah I think that's gonna escalate getting you've probably history very well to this to be you know -- yourself is. The the coordination got better as the pre season went on I think especially the interior. We're some of that yourselves the stunts -- games -- really -- following a -- like lance Louis. They haven't seen a lot of this stuff if He started if you get organs last year that was gone so. That is the kind of thing that you never see at full speed or in the the the amount that you see in the regular season university that the pre season so you know that's going to be the test are these guys up up that kind of thing. Then the good part is -- Garza saw a lot of assuming he's certainly you -- alongside Olin Kreutz. You know those guys are the kind of situation where one this artisans in their record walk in the -- -- -- The did this line isn't quite to that point but having cars in the middle I believe has more skill alone I think has more years experience at all the other four put together so. The right guy is is one of the co captains and I think that's going to be that the they're gonna throw some stuff that this team and it's gonna escalate with New Orleans and get even more so with the media report the Green Bay players. Cardinal talk about Brandon meriwether they bring him in here you look at the safety position. Now this guy's a pro bowler you don't bring a million arrived a bit how do you see that playing out of the safety position with Chris who's back there and Major Wright. You have -- -- I I would be surprised if he's not starting. Sooner rather than later. You know it may be almost like what we saw on the offensive line -- Chris Spencer was brought -- also if you're three million dollar. Quote back up and nothing if if something went wrong upfront you know Garza was gonna move to guard Chris Spencer becomes the -- it didn't happen. It doesn't mean it couldn't happen but now apply that to the safety position Major -- that He is very clearly on and this is also a team. If they went -- got five number one's you know other people's number ones and and bear weather being the latest one. This is a team that thinks it's gonna make the Super Bowl run this year so they're not gonna be real. Indulgent and they're not gonna treat this as a learning year for Major Wright you hope the kid responds to the academic progress baker doesn't doesn't have that response to things. Because -- -- a playmaker and I think you with Lovie Smith on the current coach He is. I think this will this will be good fit when Meriweather if assuming that He does get him when He does fighting for a starting job. -- on the Dolphins decide who you respect the most improvement out of this year the the guys maybe and then not just one but maybe a couple of guys you've been watching of course training camp you really see them taking back probably. You know I would have to say jamarcus Webb would be one it would it won't be sexy because -- offensive -- about the offense a lot of our -- -- pack your -- and I think there. -- at left tackle you know. I I I saw so much improvement with him in the pre season He has discussed left lettuce is a drug -- really big -- And the other one I think has gotten overwhelmed. Devin Hester. There's a toughness to him. I think he's he'd be to -- view it got a few rookies and in in the pre season. I thought He was having the world's two or three best hands of anyone and -- campus camp. But He was catching the ball Jay Cutler was confident with them. A couple of drops happen in the pre season. I think pastor if not ready to go out there and realized the huge. Bonuses escalators and so we're veterans contract. I think this is could be a guy here is it different wide receiver Devin Hester this year. And we talked about wide receivers they've seen as a blocker brand new feel good story of camp which -- thing. I would and I -- it is funny I won't let them -- pregnancy and a little bit of he's got a couple months later version of Earl Bennett I look at the same kind of quality receiver yeah racism Friday coming undrafted free agent. You know three or four practices and is running with the ones and do and the quarterback is looking for a that by definition -- a surprise but you know he'd he'd just did it all and He clearly every single practice He was doing something. That caught your or -- obviously caught coach's -- And -- and a surprise I feel good story I think any time an undrafted guy maybe Mario Addison -- run defense -- you got from Troy. You know those kind of guys you like to see do well in the bunker was definitely one of those because He just doesn't he's not big. But you know I think he'll go get him on the -- here and I think that's a muscle I think that's the -- again I kind of had an Earl Bennett type. Very polished as a receiver -- Boy you know you -- you look back from his his pedigree going to be coming out of Ohio State no Big Ten and in the the numbers He put up in the Big Ten. I guess you really should be on its -- they play some real football the Big Ten so maybe we should go out surprised but I have a feeling to know that we look at the guys like Earl Bennett to the world. Do you may end up being your leading receiver this year because all these guys are really starting to come around and understand. This offense and and really we look at know Devin Hester guys like that understanding. How to play the position -- -- is mr. consistency so he's my guy he's got a weapon this should have a great year. Yeah I want to get it probably should overlook him because he's a football player I think that He -- about there's certain guys that don't have the the intangibles if you wanna call him you know you wouldn't draw for receiver make him only 59 or 510. But they're football players and I think you know we've seen that so many times in the NFL you hope that this sort of thing. Gets people looking. And at just the forty times and all that sort of thing. These guys make plays and that's -- -- -- -- that's how you make the playoffs and that's -- -- -- you do good -- in the -- -- -- you're right -- to -- -- right there. As as a got to really watch that your. John moon -- we appreciate has always been -- will be talking to you all year long. Look forward to a --
