Transcript

Former Sox star Felton bill Melton who is in Arlington -- they're seeing that same problems White Sox strikeout. Thirteen times strike solo questionable today but Sox hitters didn't get the job -- what was your take. It was almost the same way I you know we're looking at a book -- a totally revamped same names revamped. Line appreciate -- and -- I thought the bottom of the order really out of a tough day and Beckham and morello road course was hitting second with -- -- got -- and -- -- merits are pretty much free swingers and went on account of -- A -- going out four times and and Alexi three different times goes. You know one thing about Colby Lewis -- -- nasty slider and our ballclub just us trouble handler quicken up those. This -- vote you know they can score a lot of runs do they basically this is a very good offensive team and White Sox got the tip your hat to John -- the first six innings up to that. Course that doesn't -- get -- shot math foreign but -- Texas did did what you have to do they got a they got a double in the just second or third inning enemy was advanced to third and one pitch later. Josh Hamilton one of the better -- remarkably easy sacrifice fly. And you look at that that's kind of troubles -- White Sox had last year was scoring that run with two outs or one out or last off from third baseman Texas makes it look easy. Looking at Adam Dunn hits a home run I know we did that on opening day last year but. He believes this year will be different what do you think of Adam Dunn going in the 22 well. Well I have to believe what he says because I saw enough at bats from Adam Dunn in spring training numbers fortune to be out there and saw him probably you know fifteen times he looks so much better home plate. Forgetting the weight loss and all that mentally he's completely different because he knows you have to put every ball where no typical year behind it. That's historically bad like that and he looked really good spring training and forgetting the numbers downer I think if you just. You know you watch him it's the way he approaches his at bats whether it's wade takes pitches the way takes the swings accounts he gets them. Thought today with -- another walk pretty at that ball above 430 feet I think so I think that part of the lineup looks really good and we're up to find a way. Maybe to get somebody behind Paul Konerko protect him a little bit there but I think you're RBI guys we'll start coming around but. Right now the the top of the order looked pretty good the obsolete not for the mesa. I like him at the lead off in spring training I saw him look good and the bottom line up who struggled. I your thoughts on John Danks today six solid innings and they did enough to get a W just didn't work out. I thought it was good for the fact that he's home -- -- and Austin, Texas -- our resides in Austin taxes. There as a mom and -- missile family here terrific family and you know for -- to go out and get the opening day assignment you know that's a Mark Burly -- very. Mark did for nine years now John Danks takes over that. And I I thought you know six innings gave up six cents only three runs were called a quality starting at six strikeouts. I think if front of a crowd like this 50000 people -- -- and his -- here I thought it was a terrific start for John back. Strike finally Jake Peavy goes to the -- this weekend. Tomorrow what is your thoughts on Jake Peavy huge season for him. Well like you know it's critical out these five veteran starters. You don't opponents -- it was 95 losses but when you got a decent pitching staff of veterans I should say every Chris sales sentiment out there that much and you are still armor. But look a lot for out of -- and I tell you why is it you always it's a transitional -- in his career. I asked him today in the interview who's gonna start. But take a little somewhat some of those pitches like a veteran pitcher does when you really don't have that 95 mile an hour. Nasty fastball and that's slider but he was right on in -- so located just locate better right now you know what you can so -- Major League hitters off with. Off speed stuff and surprise you which Jake Peavy a cap his off speeds up moves a lot. His hard stuff moves a lot I think the soft -- moves us much not saying he's not throwing. He's not thrown 9596. But 9192 is plenty more dramatic career --
