Every day another running back gets paid except Matt Forte LeSean McCoy of the Philadelphia Eagles. Getting a huge deal over forty million dollars almost 21 guaranteed dollars tens of millions. And Matt Forte insignificant Brad Biggs in the Tribune and gotten -- offensive line played great. Continues to sit there as a franchise player -- that they get a deal done. You know and and I don't want up. I don't know the intimate details of the negotiations so when there is to blame the agent is not right I know Matt Forte is innocent victim in this whole thing. With people need to understand about this I'm surprised the Eagles did what they did with McCoy who by the way QB Bears fans as a veteran running back and Matt Forte and the Mets and that would that's a Pro Bowl running back. The point though is -- guys the players got smoked. In the new collective bargaining agreement you're you're gonna start to really understand what happened here now and one of the ridiculous things. There's three other major professional sports news -- in the United States or baseball or hockey and that's what. They have franchised against their transition tags to not only to have franchise has been you can franchise by up to three years and so with a little more expensive the second title more expensive prevent. But if the Bears franchise Forte over the next three years it's gonna end up being the same guaranteed money he's asking for right now. But they're not committed any more than a third of -- that's that's what Drew Brees isn't that bad guys he's got going anywhere he's got no leverage that's bad PR for the Saints. For the Bears there is no incentive whatsoever to guarantee -- fourteenth when we bought the team -- we don't know quite old so close I -- you know these guys. Would he sit down I mean this which means -- you can talk about when you get creative to get paid. This if you miss a game that's when you get paid losing and didn't have a guy who would -- not a gamer -- will be I think he's already show that. He's wounded both promotions and do everything the right way the professional way or he would have been sitting -- longtime go to camp -- tow -- Saddam so. You know he did listen to cap. If anyone about his business he's good or -- out of the five week yeah definitely not money that you reported and everything now the thing we don't know what this whole equation like we've kind of talked about was. What -- Ted Phillips call it a a fair strong offer they've made a strong offer we know the first offer was like fourteen million guaranteed. We don't know what the strong offer is so if it's around eighteen. You know even if -- twenty million. You know maybe he needs to take that deal because I know they -- initially wanted to five years forty million. With twenty million guarantee. So if they've met him halfway or whatever. In north they're looking at the 1718 mark you know I'm I have to say -- the very good order of business as recent contracts given to NFL running backs. There you see DeAngelo Williams getting big paper here -- LeSean McCoy -- Foster. Marshawn Lynch Adrian Peterson this -- to. The Sharks dollars -- Chris Johnson would have diverted millions of a Chris Johnson out of my husband that was doctor how many of those guys that are on the money since they got it right knock one over -- -- got injured more so lynch. I felt -- he hasn't played yet. The -- I don't know I you I say he had a group here and had a good -- Mo Williams went in the tank rounds so I mean running backs fairly. Been devalued you know as far as salary does and again when you realize the impact of those franchise tags. I don't understand the consent of of these teams to guaranteed money they don't have to guarantee when they collapsed the player up without doing it. And JD also has a -- cars and he's the same agent signed after the 09 season a five year deal he got eighteen point six guaranteed 31 to always get two years left us. He wants a new deal -- you led the league in rushing. I said all along last year if the Bears offered Matt the -- deal that's the deal he should take because between eighteen and twenty million. He is reasonable. And we know he asked Chris what if he sits out if he sits out there's almost eight million bucks and that franchise tag the -- leaves on the table and they already lost enough money he can't sit out he's losing to much. That's why I say I think yeah. Did that day I think he's gonna play under the franchise tag this year -- -- seven point 74 million. He's gonna go through the season and then we're gonna see what happens after that gave you could go back in time to last season. And it's the week of the final game before the -- And Matt Forte came to your second read the future of Bears are not gonna get my deal though would you tell him at that point. Sit out right at the bye week -- 73 or whatever they were six and three -- to. Sit out and make them pay you or. You know David it's more than just making them. You're leaving your teammates -- -- -- -- and out of the foxhole the wrong time right you know I either there there's a lot no I would never -- a -- and the -- the season to sit out. You you lose so much -- -- so much respect that you just can't do it right at -- and Matt is that the guys in the locker room like they likeable lot OK mentally and even though there. You know there was talk. Couple years ago that Brian Urlacher kind of criticized -- But you know since moved that over everything is cool you guys have respect for the way he's come about his business. And they're pulling for believe this -- -- Lance Briggs has spoken out about them Brandon Marshall. -- all over ESPN talking about today so. These guys have a lot of respect -- much they wanna -- you get paid in the wanna see him on the field with reflections.
