Joining -- not a talks and -- one of the great NBA coaches Denver Nuggets had man. George Karl coach that you protect -- time these playoffs have certainly been a great showcase for the league. Although the officials are coming under some scrutiny what's your take on the whole playoffs and they've been everything you hoped they would be. I'll be honest we I think they've been better than I thought they would be. You know going into the playoffs I thought because of the season the craziness of the year -- shortness of the season. I didn't I didn't see bit -- this special basketball and I'm seeing now especially these last two series with the Boston Miami. And Santonio -- series. I think we're very fortunate I thought we we probably got the four best teams out of it unless Chicago of course would have stayed healthy. Rose with Philadelphia would probably I think prized ones. Want and be playing Miami so. I think the NBA was very fortunate in a crazy year they've come up with four great great teams battling. And realized today that I don't know who I'd vote for right now and I would not want to have to pick a winner. And in this these four teams because I think all four to. But I I would never bet against San Antonio I think they've had such a great year and I think there's such a big time heart and their tradition Israel. And then got Miami doing the same thing against that a traditional championship team like the Celtics. And I know 90% of the basketball world politics Celtics lead of the -- they were ready -- -- retire after going down 20. After the game with Rondo having a great game they lose in overtime. But Boston comes out of their two home games. I think they're healthier more energized the more confident than they ever were in this series. And tonight's game is I mean I've definitely got to watch the game it's it's going to be really interesting. To see that the game -- X and -- of the game but more and more importantly the psychology of the momentum of the game we'll watch play the confidence of the each team with a bench you will Miami's bench wake up. Well Boston's bench fall back to sleep. You know who's going to be the wild card is gonna motivate your team to win and LeBron step forward we'll Dwyane Wade back cut and bounce back. I mean there's so many story lines in this you guys -- for talk radio and TV you gotta love what's going on in the world of basketball. You've got Derrick Rose out for quite a long time -- very unfortunate ACL injury. What would you say to him he wants to get back he wants to play at peak efficiency as quickly as possible. How important it is it is that for the Bulls to temper him and say luck. If you miss all next year it is what it is you got a long career ahead of you. Well. Tiger I'm a coach that I would I would. I would tell them tell the players to make sure we get you healthy. But you don't want -- turn Derrick roses engine -- I mean his pride to play his desire to play. That's what makes him a great player. So in the same sense you wanna you wanna be cautious but you don't wanna be the point where you should you -- do you think negative. You know I think doctors know that this injury it's gonna take set amount of time but after that it's about the guy who's hurt. You know it is he wanna get back there is he. You know are some guys might seem to have a super human mentality to their healing. And does Derrick Rose through that. How well I'm pretty abrasive and I'm pretty sure that Derrick Rose is going to be an MVP got again some day. I think he's going to be first team all NBA someday. This injury is not gonna stop him from being great players so I just wish you best be Smart. But also be -- we'll try to get back and help the team because that's what makes you -- You're working with -- on the line -- prostate cancer awareness. Tell us about the big daddy awards and tell us how you're feeling. I'm Phil great but you know on the line is it prostate cancer but cancer and in that. Site that. As you said she promotes and tries educated about everybody about prostate cancer prostate cancer is number one. Cancer -- men and you know we just elaborate more awareness to that on Father's Day they're gonna have a big daddy. Awards dot com there's like twenty or thirty different categories. On the up I'm up for two categories one coaching big daddy coach of the year award and also father son my son had thyroid cancer so. We've had four bouts with cancer and my family and we're still kick -- we're still coaching and playing basketball we love the game and and big -- your words -- just -- kinda celebrating on Father's Day. And also kind of trying to bring awareness of prostate cancer is still big concern. To all men. And it's something that our our country needs to be more aware. Coach before -- let you go all right talking about -- off the -- gotta ask you when you -- with Seattle there was a rumored trade Scottie -- first John camp. And a media guy got involved in. May have excited the fan base in Seattle the deal gets canceled never goes through that media guy was me. What's your remembrances of that. I remember as well as I probably wasn't happy we're here at the moment because -- you know I was on I was on the side to make that trade. But in the same sense. You know in the NBA today. A lot of these things that I didn't do probably we're the best things that. I'm just I I I'm pretty good coaching basketball but I'm not very good at signing contracts and make it trades up. I leave that -- guys in front office now and I like the -- and hang out there and and try to do my best job that. And I saw you the next day I'll probably -- law and wish you didn't notice that would have probably express that. Well I'm sure Chicago is glad Scotty stayed they can protect it -- best of luck with your help there with the basketball coach you've done a heck of a job. -- good thank you.
