That -- brylin hair who joins us from Kauffman Stadium Brian first off congratulations. What has it been like for you. All you've gone through to get there to be on the field and seeing Derek Jeter and all these other great players that are there. Yeah I mean it's it's just been tremendous couple days there I get you know some of the players in that. You know to see these guys out there like last night at the home run derby in just know watching that show up on the failed. I instead of at home is just it's just incredible. Looking towards the game what have you been told by your manager Tony La Russa what are you expecting tonight. Well. He hasn't told me the end and I talked to motto and he he had mentioned that he may only be playing three or four innings so. I'm assuming I'm coming in after him and on hopefully get a chance do I have the team win. When you walked into the locker room and they hand you all this gear you see your uniform. What was going through your mind. While. This is it's happening and I you know -- -- and I might think about the whole thing I say while it's happening that's kind of like what's gone through my mind now and now. You know each day each minute that goes by -- I start reflecting a little bit more you know back to town and then and just that you know the whole eventually get to this point it's just been it's been. An incredible two days. Your wife has been one of your biggest supporters through. The toughest of times when you thought it's never gonna happen I'm gonna have to move to Japan and go play there what -- she'd been like in Kansas City. She's been very emotional. You know last night she sat up in the stands. And now watch me down in the -- -- in the home run derby and having a great time in. You know I ended again my brother down the -- with me in. Yes -- matches yet that she had believers here a couple times because you get emotional and you know she's just real excited for me she's. She's really happy in it's it's it's really get to -- Bryant also your baseball teams playing better as of late nine of the last thirteen avid Cubs wins. It looks like the team is just playing a little bit better what can you put your finger on why the team looks that way. Yeah I think I think it a lot of is just hard work it's it's. You know paying off a little bit far right nine and not you know when when good teams work hard you know the team's wins though. I think you know -- near the -- that's coming up in there and another bat in the lineup I think our bullpen is has been really really tremendous. And our. And I know that usually helps with the wins. You made a comment in the newspapers today here where you said. We all know who's in charge and who are all on board are you talking about they are you talking about dale what were you referring to. I'm I was talking about dale you know it's. It's this year when we know when the -- now at 7 o'clock rolls around game time rolls around and I think you know. For us I think we're all on board with -- that he makes in you know we're just that we're excited follow men you know try to get wins on. Before -- let you go a lot of us here very happy for you to see what you went through to get to this moment. Can you understand players who refused to go play in an all star game seeing as happy as you are being there. Yeah a lot I understand that you know this is. This is a tremendous honor for anybody on the weather you've been here fifteen years or you are even here one. So you know for me. I think you know if he gets elected unless there's an injured some then I you know I think he should be aired this is it's a tremendous fun to be here. Last one for you -- the trade deadline stuff whether it's you or anyone else. Cross your mind you don't think about it you just play until somebody next he's gone you're gone whatever the case may be. I mean I think with the media day you know at Hartford not to crush him I think it's brought up but. At the same time I you know you got to put it aside and just focus in on them. You know the task at hand in the game that night in night out it's trades happen that happens that's us that's really out of our control. Brian all the best enjoy the experience tonight and the love to see if you could take one out tonight. Thanks for having me.
