-- about so they can time out. The league catching up to him a little bit or is he undesirable will look tired to think isn't quite the stuff we had earlier on. Well I think he's an experience is -- thing to Chris Sale is experiencing. Getting close to. The most innings he's ever had before probably going to fly by that as far as. Starts under pressure many more than he's ever had so could very well be that the long rest that he's going to experience will also help rejuvenate his -- I don't think his growth of the league catching up to him because his stuff is good enough it's not great it's not Chris Sale good but it is good enough. And the good pitchers. Well the league doesn't seem to ever catch up to the good pitchers and I think it -- got a chance to be one of those guys. Hey Stoney it's ten degrees I can you breakdown the Tigers for me would you say there weaknesses your bullpen and defense prefect. Well defense certainly there's no doubt that. With for all think Cabrera on the left side there -- a little slow especially Peralta at shortstop again Infante at second base that's really gonna help that he's a pretty good player. And a lot of people felt that they needed a pitcher desperately but I think they under. Underestimated the value of Omar Infante to that team Prince Fielder is never going to be a gold glove at first base he's there to hit the base though which is what he does. That's a good baseball team there's no doubt is serviceable that is concerned the back end is pretty good front end of the bullpen a little shaky. Every time you put in Phil Coke it seems to me like they're runs being scored so they do have some problems there. I don't think they're done dealing having a lot like Kenny Williams Dave Dombrowski. Has the money and and will take got a contract that makes sense for his baseball teams out. We're game and -- half up. This is gonna be a really difficult race and the big advantage as you know if you win the division you don't have to have that one game play in. And in one game against anybody. Anything can happen you can have a terrific team have a wonderful year in the one game maybe because of who you're using to get into the playoffs. You're starting your number five starter against their number one you wind up losing the game and go home. I stayed -- Carlson -- good feeling out. To. Quick question for you Gordon Beckham are obviously big home run last night setting that one for eighteen slump but. He's really been struggling can they afford to keep him in the lineup. Absolutely the airport to keep them because the double play combination of Ramirez and Beckham is probably as good as anybody in the league. And at the end of the day we keep talking about the defense and and the defense is special defense helps your pitching that's -- you're pitching gets a little more tired than normal. Not getting the kind of strikeouts they had earlier in the season. The -- they have they have a double play made these two guys can get it done. Beckham does enough to help you win when he's not hitting the baseball he starts they get the baseball like he did last night. Well that's just a bonus but for me -- second baseman the rest of the way and probably a lot longer than that but certainly that I can make a move at second base this year. Steve and you talk well talk we talk Clemens do here but it's in your opinion right now. Who's been the MVP -- this team I mean you go from you know Konerko or Rios that AJ right now it is really a fire who's really been a guy this season for you. Alex Rios because from the start of the season until now he's hit the ball very well. He hits good pitchers he also has an element of speed at the other guys you talked about don't have is played an unbelievable right field now that he's comfortable again and he says that's one of the big reasons why he's doing what he's doing you know you can get embarrassed playing a position and I used to and is that his whole career a two time all star with Toronto look into his right and -- Vernon Wells. Well you move in the center field just because he's got speed doesn't mean he's a good center fielder because he wasn't but he's a terrific right fielder. And that's what they need him to be and that's exactly what he's been from the time this season started so right now. He's on the guys that's led the way he's sitting fifth in the lineup you started drive in some big runs. And he seems to get now. Big hits and even when they get him out he hits the ball hard so for me it's Rios but it to make a case for a number of guys in this game.
