The White Sox playoff hopes could come to an end in Cleveland Sox losing the tigers' winning KC yeah -- central race that would come to an end so it's do or die for the Sox against the Indians for the latest we go live to Progressive Field enclave and great shot Garces. All right our -- obviously all the cliches whatever you want back up against the wall must win time. I just didn't see this time out of twelve slide coming did you see anything trending in the wrong direction to this degree. No there's not I think a single person on the planet who would think that that this offense would. Basically dry up with runners in scoring position from one through nine I mean I think. For the last 1213 games on the roars as firm as average I believe is about 150 with all the power. -- in the lineup just dried up like this no one expected this. The guys are here at this was supposed to be a place of potential celebration. And it's really one of misery because after they beat your Tigers last Monday at the Sox had gone eight and eight. Are you two Mondays ago eight NH the Tigers had to go twelve and -- -- beat -- and here we are at the White Sox have gone. Three and -- since that time and now they need a miracle a miracle the biggest way to make the plan. -- -- -- -- -- -- Such. A disappointing loss and yet this is there has been an over achieving team. All the way beyond anybody's. Pre season expectations. But at this point those those disappointing numbers at the end of the year we we try to massage it a little bit. But how would you categorize it as it is a monumental. Choker flop or or heard we -- -- kinder than that. We know what I'll I'll just give you what love is. Was just hold in the club plaza -- RS Gordon Beckham peavy and Rios and Robin Ventura that. Same question that you asked me. -- it'd be a huge disappointment don't make the playoffs. Same with seek peavy. And what Gordon Beckham said it which was interesting he said it would it would not be a disappointment at all I've yet to characterize this as a major success because nobody expected so many things that happened forget that. You know this team started the year with a rookie closer. And then they made it their permanent clothes -- Addison Reed. You know he's a rookie basically as well you had John Danks your opening day starter. He hasn't pitched since may he wasn't doing much when he was in the area before that. So many things had to go right. You were saying -- we want bounce back years from Adam Dunn and from Jake Peavy and from now -- you get that to -- and fortunately it all -- harder at the end. And because. That's what we remember because we're living in right now it just seems like a disaster of a season just because of that but if you put things in proper perspective. I kind of golf -- I am I going to be disappointed -- -- the last conceded that it was right there for them but I kind of go along the lines of what Beckett was it was a lot of things at least pointed in the right direction. Certainly for next year this is going to be there you're anyway and they made things interesting. -- shocked it's Tedy. With AJ Pierzynski situation it's it seems serve odd to me that. He's had his best season he's seen it seems to wanna stay and everything is pulling him away. What what is the market for him I mean he's really gonna get so much money that the Sox are not gonna wanna match that. The market's going to be this I'm not sure how many seems to be out they're looking for free agent catcher he is clearly. Number one out there is offensive -- is the best offensive catcher. All there that's going to be available and so if you want a catcher with offensive plant experience it's gonna be him. So he's gonna wanna stay in Chicago. But I think the White Sox might he might have to get a hometown discount really for him much to stay here there's going to be some competition. That's gonna be a very intriguing story going forward to see what the White Sox decide to do on -- end. And then what AJ Pierzynski is going to do on his ended the possibly staying with the White Sox. It's. Just Pete McMurray. I watched the Sox over the weekend in their body language says at all what's their body language like today they looked so dejected I know they've lost. You know ten out of their last twelve or whatever it is they just they're the body language says it all. Yeah I think an -- -- a hawk Harrelson about this and you know pockets of on this team all the times -- it really does know what he says and he says. They're tired they're not physically tired they're mentally tired and I think part of that is the fact that. They've been fighting for a playoff spot for about two weeks. Read in three weeks. And every almost every single game is close. There's been no blowouts they can't ever take a -- so when you combine all those games all those situations all those at bats. There exhausted I think. -- since exhausted but they're just worn down by -- and then. They also know their -- they know they kind of they've they blew this. So you throw all that in the equation of psychological factors of it on I think that's probably what you're seen as a team that. Has all these factors going against them and this is whether -- not happy about it.
