Last night Eddie -- was inducted into the US hockey hall of fame. A fitting tribute for the first American born player to ever be drafted by and play first hometown team. Everything I have. Is because of our great game. My family's here. My wife's family is here. My family with the Chicago Blackhawks are here. My friends are here. My ex teammates are here. I'm so grateful that you had come and wanna share this. With me but this award is not about me is about all of the people that helped me along the way. In this long journey and play on a line. With the Chicago Blackhawks my first couple years there. It was point by my now partner working for the Chicago Blackhawks a great pat Foley. He called us the likes -- The great primary. And our toughness. Now an assistant coach with you or Dallas star's curt Frasier. We're back in the day just heard some of our younger hockey fans out there that life skills were fast. Back in 1984. The answer should be and always will be yes. When team USA calls. I always took great pride. In wanting. To win. And compete. In the greatest game in a world against the best competition. I want this really bad. For a long time. Thank you everybody USA hockey for all you do. I congratulations -- -- -- the end of the US hockey hall of fame with an impressive group. 41 year NHL veteran Mike Modano -- the all time goal scorer and points leader among American born players. And Lou Lamoriello and the current CEO of the doubles and former GM of team USA.
