Chris Williams he is the definition of another Jerry Angelo draft bust. A start with you. This is -- the most high profile but we have because as David policy it was earlier today Cedric Benson contributed repeated. Chris Williams was just awful well I mean you know we had a lot of question marks about him when he came in because he had back surgery. And it was a big fallout over that because the Bears say hey you know they were kind of go each way about whether they knew about it -- not member David kind of put him. That test about that and said hey you know what why would you draft a guy with a bad back at did you talk to my nephew was Korea there was like -- have you have to McIlroy exactly a secret that he had a bad back -- -- -- -- and then you know. As things progressed they try to mount -- gave me a shot and left tackles was left tackle of the future. Didn't work out. He played OK at guard OK he did some decent things but not well enough to say OK that's a first round pick. So now you put him in the competition. To win that left tackle spot back. With jamarcus Webb and he loses. And now you go to the season. And he says hey maybe contribute as a swing tackle he can't even be active when he was deactivated for that game. I even talked to him -- a -- the Cubs within a tough team afterwards and I say hey Chris what happened. -- -- -- they told me what fueled a reason you know whatever I said what was the reasoning like I can get into that other film they just told. A good enough to play here I mean I think they told him flat out Mike Tyson -- like that I think he flat out told him hey. You can't play from me anymore and -- the -- was on the wall from that game is tough turn things around he was a symbol of failure and I think that's the difficult thing is that win. You got a guy that -- is that is symbol of everything that's wrong with the previous regime -- tougher and redefine himself he might have been best to the right tackle and he played that season right tackle. His career. Jog a little surprised because -- the -- -- only one injury away. Off from having to use Johnson Scott. The -- they must have a lot of confidence in Chris Williams it's not gonna change you know the won loss record but if they just had to part company did a lot of teams out there. That need offensive lineman. Having somebody I -- -- everybody he'll be deployed that was the old way though I did enjoy used to do you all there were always reclamation prize well we know this guy has -- -- we know this guy has -- need to. But we can fix -- we'll be fine here we checked them all out one of those guys really pan out slow I'll tell you one thing about this whole situation now. Moving forward. Lot of pressure -- and game -- me to step up to the plate she's the -- as you Angela number one pick and I know what is it there's no question marks about -- -- okay tell me I asked Tom there this on the radio this morning who's having a better season right now five games it. -- -- Or jamarcus swept jamarcus you have to think about it I mean I don't know for sure -- Jamar lessons to jamarcus -- the guy who is then you know that the -- joke -- idea. He's had a good last couple weeks let me put it that way he's had the last couple weeks -- -- they gave -- got to step it up in bad afternoon at Jacksonville who wins is the point where the line started last year to really gel and we've seen it the last two weeks they're doing. A better job an adequate job I would say great but. They're getting the job done so now is we get a little further and maybe the -- continues and with all the question marks seemingly -- the lineup seems to be set that he would not on the list we have failed picks that the high picks from Jerry Angelo. Dan designed -- Johnson. -- -- Davis -- him desired but it's simply because he's a -- got through life Marc Colombo did go on to play very well but how Dallas Cowboys. But Michael -- I still think Johnson didn't take your -- out of -- Taylor got say like a -- with his -- K okay could have considered Benson did contribute to a team that won the NFC. Cannot really put them in the category -- guys just it was a bigger hit at the gun shooting great day and never ever been drafted cool well I see I think that you draft the guy with the idea that you can fix him and I think the good data on that a lot. But I wouldn't put -- Johnson Cedric Benson and the Mark Bradley did designs. And now Chris Williams because of those two guys contributed and they went on to contribute somewhere yet so they may not have. The -- don't work out here but they were a bust in the league that's just pile and I look because I'll tell you what an idea it was that's critical and Jerry Angelo is anybody here maybe I maybe that's you've been I think that. You know okay. Let's have another list -- in fairness let's have you know Tim Jennings Charles Tillman Lance Briggs and let's look Jay Cutler. These -- moves that this team has been pretty steady over the last several years and you just cannot discount Jerry Angelo. And dismiss them as -- terrible general manager he was bad enough to get fired -- what you have to be fair.
