Our CSN Chicago back on Bears insider John Millen gone has just emerged. From the locker room with his view from the moon and their view from right outside the bears' locker room not. What stood out to do you put. -- from the game your observations but from talking to some of the guys afterwards your -- You know come. Or surprising things. One of which was DJ Moore said the toughest thing for his night was getting pink lipstick office knows he did his nose and I'll think about her via breast cancer awareness. -- of the the a couple of guys said there was something that the Lions didn't seem collectively didn't seem to coordinators that team -- ran the ball. They called fifteen running plays and I think I kind of -- 52 passing plays. Calvin Johnson two guys said he seemed confused with the DJ Moore. Kelvin Hayden personnel switching. You sort of -- -- record not off the record readers who don't don't quote me on this from with a line assistance in there and have a good the good sense of themselves tonight. Good job on the big -- Is coming in this game -- we talked about in the pregame. Was -- -- the lack of discipline and -- a little alliance I think you saw spurts of that tonight and that's one of the reasons why they have such a difficult time I think. Really continuity on the offensive side of who's your time -- and they don't drive either commit apparently. They do something foolish or we turned the football over same thing on special teams night. They give up you know bell muffed punt. And the fumble one away so it's the same things the discipline that we talked about before coming into this game. Yes good point -- that's kind of what I was really saying that it keeps cutting him in the coaching didn't seem to be. The discipline in the game plan you know let's stick with the run -- cause even more guys together around -- -- better than we thought they would. And more early any other discipline really you know I think we've been talked about this before the game. This is a team you wanna give them a chance to self destruct and if you don't make a lot of mistakes. Detroit can help you out and I think that's where you'll ultimately happen to that would force turnovers. That John any feedback from them from the defense it does especially. We've always had kind of -- bend don't break mentality with just over two. The Lions had a bit of that reputation coming in were there second in the league in total offense but not nearly that high in scoring. Did you get the feeling that the Bears came in with the mindset. Well let them move the ball between the twenties three of the takeaways were in the red zone for the Bears defense was that a point of emphasis that anyone had long. Yes good point hunter and you've been in this defense -- -- you know if we play our society this starve our defense is our defense and they that you you kind of run on they felt like if we had not been exactly but if we don't give up big plays. And I'm talking in a Major Wright Chris count people talked about this the discipline. In the scheme. You know the investigatory won't do something and that's the coaches have begun to trust. -- Right they begin to trust the defense of line and what's so what you're seeing is is kind of a trust in the schemes so they really. We can we can play the cover two as much as we need to we can change up on on someone like mega Tron. But yeah I think there was it was a good sense of that and and in that sense of who they are on defense. They do it it's great to -- say that because that that's something that I was especially impressed with out of the defense tonight. Over the top the safeties and there's Ben. There's been a little worried that there might get beat deep you've seen some maybe some liabilities that were covered up our great pass -- leading up to this game. About the safeties especially did a fantastic job being over the top Calvin all night. Yes great point and an -- and talking with -- you know you saw Major Wright and Chris Conte blitz. And the the underlying thing with this was the coaches needed to trust us that we knew how to bullets that we could you we knew our assignments in -- one of us blitzed we into the boot from. Could handle. That you're the deep middle type of things so. You know that some sophistication this was not the same Bears defense that he can beat the Lions last year I think there's. It and you know on the cover two why that's important you cannot have a -- discipline Paris safeties and that's that's maybe the biggest difference along with Iverson to pass rush but that. The discipline at the back handers as you know they're feeling really good about that. Mood thanks very much for the visit we appreciate knowing he'll be gone out about fifteen articles here on CSN Chicago nightcap before certain -- -- -- so that's John -- on -- CSN Chicago dot com.
