That magical season continues in South Bend for the first time in BCS history the fighting Irish of Notre Dame our number wine. The Irish had a third -- new number one team in the last three weeks. I think the only other unbeaten team but the Buckeyes can't play in a bowl game for NCAA violations. Irish move up two spots after losses like Kansas State and Oregon Saturday night. Number two Alabama and number three Georgia will likely need for the SEC championship game in two weeks with the winner virtually assured a spot in the BCS title game. And that Irish catch another huge break in what seems to be a season full of that that they won't have to face Matt Barkley in that season finale at USC next Saturday. Trojans head coach Lane Kiffin told reporters Sunday that Barkley season is over. He suffered an AC sprain in his throwing shoulder in Saturday's loss to UCLA.
