The star -- I'm banged up football team this is this Bears team especially on the offensive line and how much do you expect this to affect the Bears. On Sunday or -- these pleasantly surprised and you think maybe they might be able to get this together by then. Well you -- shotgun that this Seahawks have a pretty good defensive front they've got a couple of really talented speed rusher is Chris Clemons and it also Bruce serve in the rookie and it's going to be a challenge for the Bears and I think. It's a good thing if they know what's going to be a challenge. They know that there are some potential communication issues with new guys in there in I think. They should take the necessary precautions. To really help the offensive line now that might end up. Affecting the Bears and some other areas of their offense may be. You know and that giving him all the the resource they normally have in terms of receivers running routes and that sort of thing but. They have to do what they have to do to make sure that Jay Cutler is in one piece at the end of this game. Hey Danny Sullivan. Just getting off the game just for second all these fines that are being levied that's a -- 101000 dollars for flipping a ball. The other player -- -- them like Vikings players and Urlacher the horse collar. Is he isn't just getting excessive it seems like. Every penalty now is resulting in huge time. Basically give credit -- charity -- yeah. That -- all the money go and so he had it there have been a lot of fine this year I think. -- the message that Roger Goodell and league offices sending is that. Ruled no place you know what they are. You better follow them or they're going to be consequences and I mean it's very it's very simple and yet I think in in most cases it. Players know what they're dealing with and they know the consequences of their actions -- know there are some some instances where. It's a little Fuzzy or or there's some greenest in terms of the action but what Brian Urlacher did with Adrian Peterson he was signed. Four horse collar tackle that Urlacher does that I think was horse collar tackle mean here's here's a situation where you get a veteran player. Who really. Disagrees with -- the referee's. Interpretation of the rule so. There's a little bit of an issue with that sort of thing but. You know -- it if you know that define it in place for an action -- you you commit the action anyway. You know you're gonna have to pay. They did Phil Rodgers. We've read about Russell Wilson in the seahawk quarterback a little bit this this week and I was somewhat familiar with his baseball background. But just sort of go back through that. How do -- was North Carolina State to not bring him back for his senior year because he wanted to play baseball that year too and secondly just how big is his upside as a quarterback he's obviously had a big impact already. Well you know it's funny I think North Carolina State's bill is like a lot of people lot of NFL teams. They didn't understand this kid's potential probably because he's five foot ten. And it's understandable because he is completely out -- I mean there are so few people like him in NFL history certainly. Right now in the NFL there's there's nobody like him and you know it he does end up. A continuing to. Played the way he has it's going to be a real unusual story you know why I don't know what kind of effect it's going to have. On and how teams scout quarterbacks or even if it's smaller quarterbacks will be more. Acceptable a lower level of play in the game there's nobody even in college disguise that right now. So he does have some really usual quality -- that I think enable him to overcome his lack of size. You know he's got really big hands he'd get forty long arms he's got a higher release point. And got a great innate feel in the pocket for being able to can't find throwing lanes and -- -- old -- very mobile he's very good athletes so. He's he's a rare player -- and I think -- because that he doesn't have a chance to really be good NFL quarterback. A different -- I was wanted to give me your opinion were eleven games in. With a new offensive coordinator I know there's different circumstances that come into play but. As far as job. In the game making a play call. How the process works and that philosophically. How Mike Tyson be calling games -- wonder what your opinion as. Well you know I think -- He hit -- good game to get a couple bad games you know especially go back you look at the Green Bay game that the San Francisco game and say well should have done some things differently those games. But the Bears offense has really been kind of puzzling this year because if you look at the pieces they have in place you look at the addition of Brandon Marshall even the addition of L -- definitely was healthy Michael Bush -- say he think it should be capable of so much more than it was last year but. It seems like the offense has been. Had problems that it at various points with different. -- different parts of the I don't really think it's fair lay that on my plate his plate because I think for the most part like -- cities hit good game plans and in good play call. But for whatever reason they haven't always been executed have matched up right -- I still got to keep waiting for this offense to put it together and take off and -- side I don't know it's capable of doing that now with the injuries that they're occurring but. You know certainly I do believe that they are capable of more than what they've accomplished up to this point. Following up on that so much in this offense is colored Marshall colored Marshall. And you know they young -- opposition know is that so my question to you is is this kind of offense. Sustainable if the defense knows what's -- unique color Marshall because he -- trust or can't. Effectively thrown the other guys who are receivers on this team. Well you know I can't look at this I have I have mixed feelings about this Frankie because. -- outdated you know any candidate sort of Brandon Marshall. It's usually good things. Because could think he catches the ball and make plays and he he breaks tackles sometimes he -- yards after the catch. He's just he's an outstanding football player so -- you know a I can't really. -- too unhappy with. Play call that goes to Brandon Marshall or a decision by the quarterback to sort of him. But I do think this -- they have. Neglected some of their other weapons in I think there's other guys on this team that can make -- too especially. Right now you've got Earl Bennett I think they could throw the ball should throw the ball more to Matt Forte. But but I think -- you know the -- The fact it. Everyone knows that the ball is going to Marshall they've known this all season long. They have not been able to stop that. Tell you that that. It's okay to keep doing it that way as long as you're moving the ball getting first downs getting touchdowns and winning football games.
