Jim let's talk about Jay Cutler. You opined yesterday that you would not give him a big money long term extension right now. Is it because of his performance. Or is there another factor. Well I think there's a little bit of bulk. In London to meet with you guys tonight but. -- just got to let it play out he's got one year left on the contract for eight point 47 million. And I think you have it'll find out I think everybody knows he's stopped at this point the guy can take a lot of punishment. He's now missed a lot of games and here's a guy that. Now has a concussion history that is that has been document that. So I think he's got to get -- the residencies and healthy and I think it'll pick -- midway true next year you know that he has to prove that he can stay healthy and and stay on the field. For the Bears offer him you know some type a hundred million dollar contract that Jay Cutler could certainly command. So I think it's spread bigs I think -- for JD get that kind of money. You've you've got to get to a Super Bowl to me. The big money deal guys Brees Brady. Eli Peyton they've all been there anything short of that now I'm with you that I don't think you can write that massive. Checked. Well at their minimum it's good to have an early out like what Michael Vick has political fielder Michael Vick doesn't. You know granted he's taken the Falcons when he played for the bulk of history NFC championship game but you know you look at Eagles break take a flyer -- -- become the other. A prison make you -- plays well he gives a hundred million dollar contract but as we all now see because of his concussion history. Here the Philadelphia Eagles at the EEL. Oh what Michael Barrett and back and paid sixteen million dollars left on his contract. Mixture I would think for the Bears there's more to be seen more could be learned. About Jay Cutler specifically now -- he's got you know documented injury history I'd look Jay Cutler personally but it is until Emery I think. You have to have a little bit reservations. Now look at the latest ailment sort of been -- Jay Cutler. And -- Fred Mitchell. Who we've heard ever sense -- came into the league and certainly with the Bears have counted it is and then what a strong arm is shot. And yet the results have not translated. -- on the field. All the way everyone went light how much is of that in your mind has to do with. The coronation with with the offensive coordinator in terms of getting the best out of -- Play calling in the rhythm and him and exploiting his son his strengths. Yeah I'm glad that it doesn't matter in my opinion under Mike -- I don't know the scoring. As reflected that by the Bears are good but I do think if you just look at the past three weeks you know I'm not allowing that's actually he's been more. Active with his -- they're calling more plays to take advantage. Jay Cutler's -- criticism but I go back to some games this year he has sometimes just colossal mistakes. You know worries like the interception this past week -- Harrison Smith that role cannot beat me. By Jay Cutler early in the year where he can sense pressure like against Carolina. And you get some forced fumbles Carolina technically should of one -- Against the Chicago Bears all. Those things concern me but here you kind of player who is extremely talented he's come in on the prime of their career. I think great -- there are some question marks that are starting to -- I mean he's fantastic he's a winner he's got everything that you want. But there's question marks here you know I don't know how to say it's all there are question marks. You're not gonna go up there and Shell out a big money contract until those questions are -- those questions are answered. Our troops from Jay Cutler and I think that's so I'm Maria in the Bears organization are certainly well aware that because our other -- addressed on this team as well. Matt -- his contract -- one year left. Jim job -- when you look at some of the decisions that Cutler makes -- a week to week basis if he's gonna take his game to another level. What are those decisions that he has to improve -- Why I just think there's there's probably about three bad plays a game. That he needs to eliminate all of my opinion coming here everybody -- money maple -- -- -- was that not a masterpiece by Tom Brady my goodness. I mean if he can get better every week. From Jay Cutler he can probably do more in terms of -- that criticism. You know I'm not trying to AJ color he needs to -- Tom Brady but the bottom line to win championships. If it's -- -- emulate. Bet that the guys soak the meat. Eliminate the negative plays but I think they're they're like three bone headed plays a game I think can be costly for our team to disconnect your quarterback do that. In this -- they -- what. They did last couple I have for you do you see a disconnect. Between lobby. Tice Jeremy Bates Jay Cutler where you go. Got one week you talked about they're gonna make sure they run the ball this many times then the next week were thrown at this many thought that maybe they're just not all can get on the same page. -- I don't think so I think they've they've. They maintained what they set out to do early in the year at the offensive line protection to me is better than what has been your goal you can see the adjustments. Umpire you didn't see prior. I love I always maintained has been a more practical approach from the Bears are we starkly opposing coach -- the -- that we got serious experiment at L radio. They all addressed that they're the Chicago Bears are running the football a lot more. -- what happened in the past so I think they're all there I just think right now they're somewhat open guessed at it now man I mean what does -- say last week when you're. Starting receiver opposite Brandon Marshall is a guy who's missed five of the last six games and he's coming up knee surgery in Asia best option. You know I don't -- tight end position has underperformed. That -- the offense big time in of course we know again that this shuttling. -- the offense what sort of command has great breakout Brandon Marshall and Jay Cutler as the bears' offense. Last thing before we let you go. I sit my eight cheer it's easy for me I'm not. A former NFL player -- to the fans sitting at home watching the game but I look almost every week you what I see Wade Phillips against Mike Tice or name any of the top coordinators they had to face take the packer. Defensive coaches against Mike Tyson I don't. Okay we are completely overwhelmed here do you think that them wrong. Of note that I thought they were pitted against Houston you know you look at if you think came -- all of that is thirteen to seven ballgame all. You know I those guys are great defense the quarters or no doubt and the thing is for the players that there's not too many and you have to shut out. You know the tight end position that don't Loria also I'm Jeffery is just not there as a wide receiver yet they'll be there gonna take time but -- Brandon Marshall. All of that they are committed to the run so teams addresses and they try to stop Forte person ministers Marshall they're just not -- else. To defend their early years and you know right now born in the Packers. You're gonna look at -- Aaron Rodgers got sadly you've got Greg Jennings. You've got Randall -- they have other options other than. That Aaron Rodgers can go to where you're Jay Cutler just -- --
