I understand how emotionally is a lot of these players are connected -- And I'm sure a lot of players there are pretty upset and I'm nervous Tuesday and I can be back. Let's see that I mean I think it's more emotion. Hi Jim Miller is on the line for Bears quarterback has great job for us on our Bears postgame live coverage let's go to the Buffalo Wild Wings -- Bring in CSN analyst Jim Miller -- spoke earlier today now that. Some time has settled what are your thoughts and the firing of Lovie Smith and where you expect the Bears to look going forward. -- I think you know clearly it -- the off and and the failures you know when you've got a tree know what we look at that triangle good offensive -- like Matt Forte Jay Cutler and and Brandon Marshall I think more is expected it's about production about when it matters than the one failure. I'm Lovie Smith stuff. Tenure as a head coach for the Chicago Bears mean they won last year they were winning games and -- -- spiraled out of control that of course this year. I was play spiraled out of control what order compete against teams in the division. Like Green Bay who can put it put -- a points Detroit may be down this year but they can put up a ton of points. It looks like Minnesota there are stockpiling. Their offensive but philosophy I think yeah that's what appears made that decision about sports scored points -- that. In this game it's about team so it keep it up with the Jones is within the division. The -- it's not how do you think a new -- impacts. -- coming with another new offensive coordinator. Oh yeah I think it does impact that this will all on the same wind and a -- and he's -- -- in the past I used to a West Coast offense they can be -- out here and -- yeah I mean that they. -- offenses father ran out -- Denver that Jay -- familiar with I think it would be an easy transition project. He's pretty Spaniard now he's been in a lot a couple of different systems. But I think you should be able look acclimate to it pretty simply I would just with his experience and his knowledge so you know he's got all the talent in the world repellent. From salt what you gotta have to write a play caller to take advantage of that -- Jim -- I'm just curious what your general thoughts are about. There's been talk of a college coaches and him coming you know and maybe being a head coaching candidates. Why I think a lot of moreover -- when you look at Chip Kelly he's been in one place the whole time. You know I think we use the coaches that move around and they still have success. Like Brian Kelly I actually think they they generate more interest. You know that's why -- Brian Kelly's name earlier there's offenses have performed in bad weather everywhere he goes it doesn't matter they went. Arm doesn't matter who The Who the players are they adapt to it you'd ask for them and they had success. So I think. You know a guy like him you look at tape and had success at Michigan State went to college shoes then went to Alabama they've won everywhere he's gone. I mean so is is a winning philosophy and that's why do quiet throughout -- to our championship team coaches they -- to me. And for what I've heard. Are generating more interest and are really tired I guess I hadn't -- anybody that has talked about -- get. Kelly quite honestly or any other college Cotto has -- the championship go to. I don't know that I should take no pride at Penn State who's really had to help -- Jim Phil Rodgers -- or Chicago we're gonna say this was a great job they should get the best coach on the market. But when you talk to other people around the league did that are they gonna see this as the best job available and what are what are they see as the strong points in this than maybe some of the points that might make a Canada wonder do I really wanna go there. Well he's he's still got a pretty good defense and place in Chicago granted there's going to be some changes whether Urlacher they do they're not. -- -- got a quarterback to lose minimum has one year left under contract that is because she didn't treat a lot of NFL coaches because that guy can play football. Ultimately accurately today -- all the Chargers are more Chargers got a stadium debacle. Thirteen that they got a lot of all -- and -- challenges and Philip Rivers to me is on the downside of his career. So really when you look at market when you look at -- you look at history you look at talent Chicago is a prime target running out of -- -- give up -- -- let you go when we talked earlier you said that he can't beat a proven commodity if the higher it was left up -- you. If they said okay we want you to handle the interviews and tell us who we should hire would you want a former head coach like John gruden. Brian Billick. Andy Reid guys that are out there or would you rather go with the hot OC Mike McCoy way. Richt medicine in Houston top Pete Carmichael in New Orleans Kyle Shanahan in Washington. What I look for the proven guys quote -- Mercury and he agreed to meet you can't go wrong. And you could lead probably rod merit telling employees that Jon Gruden didn't even bring back. When you look at does the previous defensive coordinator who just resigned. You know out at USC. I mean they could bring him back -- -- Jon Gruden that defense would hate to say I like Andy Reid a lot I think it would be phenomenal as well but. Young up and comers like a -- -- and interest me those would be my three key guys. That I that I look at as experienced there is some new experience. To me in the national football and you see out that it that it Allen. Out there and openness as -- missing Josh McDaniels. Flounder when he got hired in Denver and open as many young coaches that'll all amount that they that are great story so to me to go he experienced. Jim appreciate the knowledge supported talking to you soon. Aren't there to argue there is Jim Miller from our -- -- live crew. I like that point that you just brought up and causes Shanahan. I look at him and what he's been able to do with those guys and I know he's gonna dynamic quarterback we've worker but he still a rookie. I look at the guy in -- you got Peyton Manning. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Think to have him here we're friends I don't 103 is -- taken with the NFL and not turn the ball over me and -- I think he's done a phenomenal to now if Jon Gruden. The reportedly today. Credit CVS they first that it can they said that he has interest in and interviewing today for available jobs that he definitely wants to coach. And then he feels that he stays out any longer he won't be able to get back yet and if the Bears met with John gruden tomorrow. And he said OK I want to Joba make the money work. Would you hire him the three -- you can be tough to turn down and I know after finally gets coach groups teams atop the physical and nobody in the right way. A lot of football games is proving -- He's just have a guy that can walk into the team meeting room. Set up a little higher and chair when I mean I think the Bears need it undated they were -- to -- comfortable Alaska Pearson Peterson recommends say. If you don't do my -- there's a dork it up and does does the higher the. And now on how you evaluate where this team this young to me if you go to a young coach. Who's gonna have to get experience on the job. You know maybe you're saying 2013. Is going to be if he would be good win. And -- thirteen might be the last year for Cutler and I don't know if you guys took a good look at Urlacher on the sidelines he looked like a culture I mean look. He looks so old not so much yesterday. Yesterday was sorted down and that where on the sweats and you you know looked more like a player but a couple of weeks ago -- watched him on the sidelines they would show him. I'm like man this is together still gonna count on I don't Louisiana's household name to be -- so -- agree with -- you know the point is it my point is if you're gonna try to win next year -- he had gruden. Is is the way to go but you know if you're you know. Whoever the coach is if you're gonna go with Cutler did you also they got to go draft a quarterback they got to have a quarterback that's going to be. To succeed Cutler and that you don't have to start thinking about the future and you know it seems like. To have put all of that on the table on the play for a guy that has never coached before is really going to be after all. -- -- interest in dynamic to me you know you talk about -- like -- -- you know I've talked to John a couple times really good you know he's got a presence about him there's no doubt about it. But the dynamic would be. Human Cutler. How is that relationship go to work. You know and I know he's the head coach and he's gonna. You know he's -- -- of put his foot down or anything like that but you still got to work with this kid OK he's still got -- he's still going to be. The guy you relied on every Sunday to move this offense so that that would be an interesting dynamic to me does that -- Tonight before we take the time I had to ask you one question pro player perspective. I remember when the Cubs were head Mike Quade is an interim manager being and the players came out so we gotta get Mike Quade in a year later they couldn't wait to get him out of there. From a non player perspective on -- pro sports. I could care less with the players think about the firing. Because the players come and go I'm thinking from a GM perspective what's best for the long term future of our football team if I'm Phil Emery to agree with that. I think players need to understand that to the gym looks audiences -- about three for your window in the NFL and the -- and replace -- You know that -- player that's how works --
