We're seven days now from the deadline. Next Friday when I don't have to deal in place well I Frazier says we're -- I think it's pride before next Friday because they run opened camp on Friday as you probably have to have the deal done but he's had to deal has to be done by the allowed by the eleventh. Yeah Abbott if you wanna -- -- -- -- about starting the season on January 19 and you -- one week of training camp I don't know how you can finish a deal on the eleventh and get guys in the camp on the eleventh and start there I mean I think if there's some sort of a handshake deal. By either next Tuesday or Wednesday do you -- gets done. Found yeah I do I think now I think the framework of the deal is basically done and now we are in the point of now let's see. What each side can get more of -- we're gonna just kind of brought that deadline and say okay you know no obviously not gonna accept this but. Ultimately it comes down to that the league wanna push to union to the point where the union dissolves which you don't wanna do. From a league standpoint. And does the union wanna push to lead to the point. Where the union gets to -- can't say yes and then. Because I don't think the league wants the kids I think the union knows us I think the unions had. Figured OK we're gonna play so now we're just gonna wait until the actual last -- and say yeah that's our campus at seventy million uniting number one on another sixty. The players that will go to 65 so it. May I made the comment five million dollars is not that big a deal when you start to look at what five million is per team. It's roughly two jobs there that means when you take the entire league you're talking close to sixty jobs are lost you can understand what the players are fighting for. -- -- -- And and here's another thing too I mean this whole thing is about the small market teams and there are far more small market team struggling then there are big market teams that are thriving. Now if I'm correct in this and I had that read this the other day. Dirty to be 23. Yes votes by the owners to pass the deal it's not a simple majority so Gary Bettman needs -- just seven -- holdouts. He roll call vote. Without knowing he's got the votes -- -- but he also won't send something there I mean if those if it. If the if the hard line small market guys want to hold out. He's got enough -- back through -- manager -- -- but they're not a small market guy when he's the leading hawk yeah he has but. He may go along because he he would probably play under this deal that. You know that just expired. It's the Anaheim this being on the DL Atlanta Carolina Florida those teams. They're really this is all about and we won't be about when this. That's deal expired blowing up.
