CTL: Does Thibodeau really deserve all this credit?
Fri, 25 Jan 2013|
The Bulls are off to a fantastic start and on pace for 50 wins, which is no small feat without Derrick Rose, but Friday's CTL panel discusses whether or not coach Tom Thibodeau deserves all the credit for this team - 1/25
Coach of the year you had a ballot right now. Tom -- Really -- yeah absolutely. I mean you lose your superstar I think he's got a great job no I have to because you lose a player like Derrick Rose how many people would think that the -- of the in the spot that there aren't playing this well I mean. Not a lot of NBA teams can lose clearly their best player and he's got rental Ryu all start to that made it never -- his Boozer -- but therein. The Eastern Conference and probably the worst division in the Eastern Conference very. Yeah you know -- just deal -- competition. So I said giving if that is the units of Vinny. I mean it's. Hit hit this thing yet what seventy hero ever since he can't coach it -- gotten. Really good players and the win in the regular season a lot of -- Mike Brown won the coaching here at the cats when he had LeBron any relief and there's very well aware of that franchise ever been before no way -- they've been terrible but they've never players like Chris Paul Blake Griffin either I mean -- -- to the Danny Manning that I'm number one -- the last two years obviously. That gives a great coach. They get good player but they had their -- -- two years and I think Fred's right did they are playing someone inferior competition he'll have little other conference play and ending consistently. Playing the worst there is an immunity easily these is worse in the last argument I. I gotta go I mean angry number one going with freak of nature for. And Blake Griffin I mean that's just about nails and so if he does that. Then you know I think the last time I watched Golden State Chris small -- I think was it was draining them from the corner so. You know I couldn't tell you who's on Golden State and -- you know I got to go low but I gotta go to Golden State. To a Golden State it is they've got a nice a team and they're really gonna take off from the get down intensive sisco. When they when they move out of Oakland where their next. Steve and the Raiders playing right now and they did it in -- downtown San Francisco that's going to be but obviously known out there. That's the stadium at the bass player Brad yes they do to them but I like to call the play call or. Well I would give my book first place vote as the Vinny second place -- to Mark Jackson third place goes to that you don't want. Did to give Tom Thibodeau a little bit credit here and it got -- I understand inferior competition angle what a lot of -- teams its -- -- takes more. The ingests. You know -- The wins and losses -- to look at if you lose your superstar a lot of teams of this ballpark or maybe they won't have the chemistry and then all of a sudden then they turn on each other what is keep this team playing at a very good level keep guys play an all star level it's really easy to lose a team when you lose clearly the best player on the team and one of the best players in the league so I think he deserves some credit for that. -- I don't disagree. I go to the Bulls and I look at the great job they've done drafting him there hold their homegrown guys. You know pars there seemed to be high character guys in their guys you know go back going back to Hinrich you know I mean I mean sometimes I think maybe they've taken. Character over talent and if you look at Noah I I remember it might have been you can't be a -- when Noah was suspended for shored up the coach. His first year and then 9 AM he's he's working out on his own.
