Transcript

Right now if you were starting a team. Mister -- who would you want as your starting goalie Crawford Emery what Miami of those three I -- anti Niemi because he's got his daily cup. Bring in -- that to golf I think you know Niemi. Though is. Getting far removed to where we you can really say ex hawk and it really resonates like he's always going to be that guy. But he's been as -- now longer than he was a hawk. So he really identifies more with the Sharks he'll always be part of that 2010 team they don't win without him. He clearly is the most proven of those three Ray Emery is a good guy to have. You need him he was huge the other night. He's outstanding the other night but he's also guided you back a bullet for a reason Corey Crawford is going to be. Who you are gonna rely upon in the playoffs capped the game Brady -- conference where is right now. And continue to develop him because. They can win the cup with Corey Crawford. I think they can win a cup with Corey Crawford too and I'm not saying that I think Corey Crawford and that's going to linger for. Looking at the three goals that you -- that you immediately eliminate Ray Emery no offense or ray but. I know he's been a starter in the league at points but he's a backup goalie and the team and the fun isn't he he did I I give him credit for that. I would would not have him at the top of the -- Anti Niemi. You know the one thing about -- does yes he won a Stanley Cup but he was battling with Chris about your way through that Stanley Cup season and then became the starting goalie latest. -- then did a great job. Getting that team to win the Stanley Cup so. Neither of the three necessarily have the resume of one -- say I definitely think that guy is who is who I choose. You have to take Niemi I think right now because he's one but I think the Hawks are going to be OK with Corey Crawford. Yeah I'd take Niemi because he's the one with his name on the cup when you confront it and you know that he's he's one. The darn thing both of those three I'm not convinced you'll be in a situation where you want say well him maybe we should be out looking for another goal with. I nearly -- you know I think in the MER you're in that spot I think he's got he has a contract years. Sort of the the skill set and obviously you know he's been. Maybe had some up and down moments but he's he's very capable and so I think that he would be. He's an easy answer to that question and I don't know that he's in the top tier of elite goaltenders. But I think that before -- did project -- Crawford who's gonna have a better career longer I know you've probably -- Niemi. Well just because you're right of the playoff success he had in 2000 that it Corey Crawford has said his focus is much better this year. He looks outstanding so far changeup of pregame routine a little bit yeah seems a little bit more relaxed just been around him a little bit because of the season started so late and they've been on the road so much but this is the guy who looks like he has more presence. You know maturity whatever it is -- confidence it's easy he's got better play in front of him as well. Which can't be overlooked because last year they just didn't have that Duncan Keith and Dario victory has been a big addition he's been terrific in that that makes a big difference.
