Garfien on Keppinger addition
-- are -- joins us from Glendale Arizona. The White Sox signed Jeff Keppinger to a three year twelve million dollar deal in the off season. Mainly to play third base but he's played just about everywhere during his career. Chuck you had a chance to sit down with him on Wednesday for the first time what was your impression of them. My impression of him is that he really is a scrappy. Player and others is exactly what the White Sox need. I think -- someone is gonna make a lot of contact and he certainly does that Felix has struck out. His entire career he's had 2500. At -- he's only struck out a 179. Times by comparison Adam Dunn struck out. 222 times last season. Alone he'll likely bat second he's gonna play third base mainly but he's also a going to be backing up at shortstop second he didn't play. First base as well he's a great utility guy whose mailing and play third but he's exactly what the Sox need in their lineup and -- at the infield. Kenny Williams is out of the public -- for the first time at spring training up. He is still in Glendale what he'd been like guys in this new role that he's taken on. He's in the background he's still around -- if you wouldn't know it if you wouldn't have known. That is no longer the GM and you're just -- -- in the fields. Here in Glendale you'd assume you still may -- the general manager because he still has that presence he -- talking to guys but no he's more. In the background. But he seems just more. -- he doesn't have that edge about him that -- that he always seem to have. The mood swings said that Kenny. Has admitted that he but sometimes have because it is so close -- the action he's seizing more relaxed and comfortable in his new role as a vice president. And -- more about presidential role excuse me with the White Sox. Chuck thanks for joining us enjoy it out there. We'll catch you all week and sports net central.
