Welcome to the NFL come back here in Indianapolis kept Lewis along with moon -- we just had a chance to -- -- -- -- -- -- -- For the first time down here about some things are going around currently with the Bears players and also what they're looking for here. With some of these college players let's start there with some of the Bears because once again Jay -- sort of a hot topic. What did you think about the way they responded to the -- tell us. You know it was interesting that and I asked specifically about what do you do your coaches and you all have to agree on this and it's a volume doesn't look the semantics the only person as a franchise quarterback Marc Grossman didn't. But. You know you could argue this would be great if you're really like him. Now's the time to try to extend them to -- I think this look over Baltimore and you say whoa wait we really won't let this play out. If something is his value might be do you think he's the guy this might be the best I could do it. But they're not doing it yet so -- -- you see what you really think of them by what not to do. He also. You know -- -- also think about -- yeah we are definitely going to get a deal with him done at some time I think that's something you would say if you really believe that -- would you franchise quarterback and was the long term answer -- organization. So I think we thought this all on Jake Kelly have to come out he may have to play the entire 2013 season -- him that he's worth that money that goes nowadays to. Franchise quarterback would you agree that I would -- I think yeah you and improve this looked at the word that you hear from both of these guys. Now obviously people talk about we always want to get better day when -- get better. I get a sense they need to see an improvement in terms of a better quarterback that's what that capitals brought a guy with NFL experience new quarterbacks coach. If the vicinity if they loved and they can get something done right now but now and then again this is organization with bill Emery and -- Marc Grossman. They're not gonna go committing. In public to something that this is -- it will -- his agent saying. Oh boy this they really love my guy and the prices went up so you know they're keeping their powder dry and we'll see who uses before the season. There's interest in that we probably had some hot topics about Tim McClelland. In wonder what is his future and you obviously he came in and they said Lester under Lovie Smith is going to be a pass rush and that's what we want him to. Analysis I -- well he's still the defense event. But maybe we're gonna move around a little bit it seems like now they're going to be a little bit more open minded players appreciate what club to excel in this new defense it. Its interest -- you could look at what he did what he didn't do last year ridiculous should've taken Chandler Jones whatever. But. In a sense Shea McClellan played his way into some opportunities you know that's the positive you can have a big sack total. But clearly marked for us and they're open to be a linebacker. You know -- progress at middle linebacker whatever. But you know Phil Emery says it is a because it's even -- -- -- by the during last season you saw him hard to stand up and who's playing him in kind of a little short zone coverages and things like that sort. I think there they're looking at him not what he didn't do what he can do longer exist. And of course the Brian Urlacher situation came up again knowing he's an unrestricted free agent and people said hey -- you don't know Brian Urlacher situation does that affect you here at the draft until every -- said. Not really there's -- they're not at that point yet they're gonna evaluate these players here and then figure out the Urlacher situation I definitely think Urlacher be back. You know I've I've gone both ways and I can buy you Aggies -- about. I look at what Baltimore did bring back Ray Lewis on the Brian Urlacher now there's a better linebacker Ray Lewis he's the second best linebacker on that roster you don't let that guy go you can possibly keep -- What you have -- cap issue and that sort of thing not go to if you'll remember it was spread you they're not cornered. Showed disrespect -- this means not going to be an insulting offer -- make one. If it doesn't work out and hopefully will be acrimonious. You know my gut feeling -- -- I've I've felt he's not back and I thought you know what the count. We're athletic guy can still play golf clearly he makes he is one of those guys tackle Larry Bird Magic Johnson makes everybody around him better. So you know maybe this is a transition year working transistors to ocean club or some older. You know it's -- on the defense. Another name that a lot of people don't think about it Jonathan Scott elements like everybody knows that this team needs help on the offensive line in it they are. Pretty -- into -- got to get -- mean it was a lot expected from him. A bit from what they saw that you like maybe he immediately and maybe that's -- -- guys can plug a hole without having to go out and spend. A lot of money. He is one of them. Andy's delivery guy you know if you remember his press conference after the U Lovie Smith dismissal he went to great lengths on talk about what are you a good -- Jonathan Scott wasn't I would have to agree and if you get somebody off the scrappy so to speak. Who can then become a starter. There isn't -- -- that they're gonna talking about bringing him back and try to bring back is you got to shake guys who can give you some flexibility there not going to be high priced. I think Jonathan Scott was picked Lester. Finally had Devin -- course when Lovie Smith was fired and -- it got it was devastating wasn't happy with the way his season ended and how he was used. They seem pretty intent right now at least to believe that Devin Hester still going to be returned I've returned excuse. You know I -- he is until he's not. And that's another one of those strategically. I'm not gonna start talking like he's not in our plans because of teams start getting the wind at the -- and -- They're not gonna trade him if you -- trade him or maybe use him to move up in certain round. You don't wanna start running his value down and history has been good player you know. You can you can look at guys like him and Brian Urlacher Urlacher is -- not -- -- work but they're still good players know. I think Derrick and keeping them their options open they're not. Only guy in or out. Certainly the Bears have a lot of decisions to make a lot of things to think about not only concern at their roster of other college players here that doesn't -- -- -- somebody's -- and --
