Here's a nicely for the Bears. Offensive line defense of line plenty of them in the draft. And also free agency saw I think for right now he's -- -- but is very light pencil and I think he put could be erased. As far as jamarcus yes. I think the Bears. Are at a point now where and it keeps that -- -- -- gonna go an offensive linemen they're gonna go with this letter and it's time if there -- was time for. A draft of an impact player right now not a player that has a three or four your present for -- to draft an impact -- line -- forget -- that. I think you know everybody talks about this Alec -- in any issues that he might have put. If he's available and he's insects and is usually right now I don't know if he's -- he's c.'s top ten yeah I mean if he drops and we're available like I would hope that they wouldn't turn their back on someone that'll get away if you had to trade up let's say two. 1413. Twelve to get like Derek Fisher who's one of the best offensive linemen and -- -- run to trade up I -- giving. I'm to no competitive prices -- exactly are probably giving a couple more lower round draft this thing isn't it to me it won't when you look it would release what they're saying in and in the draft next. There's so many offensive -- especially -- goes deep into the second round that I don't know if you have to mortgage that much to trade up because I don't think there's a huge separation -- the fifth and -- were available whether Iverson and Eric what did you take him -- interest him -- because that that you -- they messed up because they had a tight -- like that -- and Carolina they gave -- a game away because he just didn't fit with what the other -- they had there so bomb you know I think -- You look at that because I mean you look around the league and that's tight ends that are sold OK so do you trade down in the draft if you were Phil hammering go -- more picks to. It really depends you know what happens in front of you I'm gonna take a look at the draft board what's behind you what's in front of me I'll make I'll leave that open. But I'll make that decision as time goes on the big thing with Phil Emery. Jerry Angelo had a chance to draft and did draft some -- unfortunately he draft -- linemen that had injuries we don't really know what Phil memories. Track record is with the draft because he's only had one and he didn't hit really goal for a lineman so. I'm gonna hope that he takes a lineman with that first pick whether it's offered down they need that's so bad captain how they have to do that. They also as you said need linebackers I think senior linebacker more than many alignment I really do I think you look at those guys -- -- -- and I'm taking anti -- Absolutely not no I completely agree to enough you -- to -- that I has nothing I don't care who got catfish -- don't care who -- whatever. You put an Alabama film. That's all you got to see in the middle linebacker throw before nine almost 540. Who lost weight to run faster Brett and Marco. What why do you think that they need -- linebacker more than -- be an offensive -- because I agree with what -- said I think there's a lot of -- out there I think you can find -- lineman in the fifth or sixth round when you've got linebackers -- Urlacher -- -- you don't know what's gonna happen with -- -- Briggs is is approaching the end of his career he's -- along -- You want to put all your chips and Nick Roach is -- generally you do and then what's left you need to find. That next transitional guy that's gonna step in the middle position or go on the left side of the right side and be there for ten years your -- you're not wrong about any of that of course but I think once you have upgraded to wide receiver position and I think they'll probably trying to do do even more so this off season. And you're running backs are still healthy enough now Forte is still had good years in front of -- And you're still hope to get more out of Jay Cutler if you don't protect this guy to give him the protection that he needs. To use these weapons and the whole offense is never gonna generate -- how well that line was playing towards the end of the year until Lance Louis got hurt -- things start to gel that was certainly figured out all these guys are replaced Lewis is coming back healthy because the agreement come back healthy all these are not enough. It's not enough and I nearly enough but you have the ability to find something in the mid round to find something as a free agent of equal or greater value while still creating -- -- the front -- into the they've. When you read articles about first round linemen offensive lineman. It's a lot of just flipping the Cardinals and I'm it to Chris Slade -- -- career and a first round that worked for me if you're gonna lower level of monitored you attack that to free agency. Because you know there's film to know they wanted to nor has gotten Poconos and this is what I'm getting. I'm put them in a minute because I've seen what he can do -- this level by Alex Smith traded today that Kansas City Chiefs by the Sampras Cisco 49ers if I told you. Had your own team and you can get out Smith and Jay Cutler right now come. Better on -- since the off RJ Cutler without question I wouldn't like him the other numbers are you -- Mets and their numbers are very close. I would take -- too but you look at the numbers he's the last two seasons take a look at the numbers. Okay and Alex Smith can play all the games this year. But you hire. You hire QB rating higher TV. Interception ratio he's gotten better completion percentage I mean. We sweep I sit I think JQ what we dismiss self that's awfully quick while I'm going to with -- the surrounded by much better know what everybody will no doubt about. Here's the other thing you you look at the Super Bowl winning quarterbacks the last -- the last decade. You got your Brady's in there you've got. A Peyton Manning in there you got Big -- with two you got Flacco all big arm quarterbacks Alex Smith is not a big arm quarterback correct. You go -- to me in this league you need a big arm quarterback that at some point the playoffs. Has to make a big armed quarterback play and I just don't know in and obviously I don't think so because they are placing with a second you're gonna have another well one person on the panel. Said that the Baltimore Ravens were going to easily win the Super Bowl and it wasn't me it was that guy right there you have to you thought your bought for RB Sierra -- -- stayed -- -- -- belong out there and by halftime I was feeling pretty good. And didn't actually turn out that way but winds -- winter. Do you would you give Jay an extension right now none out right now would you have to would you not -- But I also think I would agree reviewed it. You can't. You can't turn away from him not get too much invested -- you spent the past four or five off seasons built out of -- out of mark -- aspects of exactly you -- do at the end of the year his numbers are -- -- while -- it to me it's more than just -- -- -- -- I think he needs a couple of years in this system but I but I -- winning what -- -- Not so much numbers what he has to show is. But you're correct and -- like Dan Marino was not like Dan Marino pointed fingers on the field that everybody. But at the same time you have to have players from that respect but don't forget -- got seven years and at some point when you go OK is what he has. What usually is from from a personality standpoint but you're hoping that Brandon Marshall isn't going on offense -- -- them. You know what the whole mentality has changed this year to up until this point with Jay Cutler. He can do what he wanted with the Bears it was a usual yet to where Jay was saying to the Bears usually where you've got. Well that's reversed it's changed the Bears have said OK now you show us what you have. And it's time for him to prove himself instead of it being a foregone conclusion -- a great quarterback you've got to build around. -- -- I don't know I don't trust -- answer but Jay has never had a coach that. Doesn't take anything. I mean you look at his history he's head coaches that are considered player coaches or were young guys that were first starting off. And I would like to see. What is meant I would be and how he would carry himself a -- other coach that. How much that's not happening here this is. This is my show and you're just upon in this game and then in the house right away I want your exact guy.
