The shot heard around here is we're talking about the Blackhawks streak. I know you're a huge hockey fan how much attention has the Blackhawks streak attracted nationally. It's very interesting you know I of course but now working in DC we are the one of the many networks that -- you actually carry the games and so it's that different perspective than I had been used to. Because I'm actually hearing hockey being talked about and it's been fun. You know a lot of us were myself included a little leery as to how fans would come back out of the cold when the lockout ended with a story like this. Don't what are your Blackhawks in or not what I'm not necessarily Blackhawks fan but I loved the story. I love the energy you know I Patrick -- I love the fact that you got the young people that it was kind of picking up the slack when they have to you. As far as I know here in New York what we talk about it's definitely on the radar more so than I've remembered in years past. When you look at this Blackhawks team I know their record says they're the best you get to see the Rangers and out east you get to see the Bruins in the penguins'. Do you think the Blackhawks are the best in -- in the big hockey fan you are. Well luckily I am out wise enough to ask questions when I don't have all the answers -- you know -- -- I've talked to Jeremy Roenick quite a few times off the air here trying to figure out. You know I know -- a bit of a homer. But it you know just aren't as good as these numbers are leading me to believe because yeah I -- we have the Rangers here who of course have struggled their way through that some time -- You know if you ask some of the experts around here which I like to do. They believe in the Chicago Blackhawks team and -- got the shortened season you have the moments and you have that advantage. It's interesting to have people kind of fight in full because that doesn't usually happen. You almost are waiting for the other shoe to drop and -- this team I'm not seem that I have yet to hear somebody come out say. Yeah no I think -- team is going to be I wanna take some down it -- what does that they're in their own Little League and everyone else is playing for second. Like Derrick Rose watch continues here in Chicago -- glued to every pregame shoot around he takes part in. Nationally people paying close attention or will the what will they wait until they actually returns are people really focused on heroes coming back. Well I think because the Bulls have been able to. Maintain what they needed to within in his absence it's it's made the story that much juice here I'm I'm sure we're not as. Glued to the Derrick Rose watched as you know we've got this guy Jeter we have the -- we ate for breakfast every morning out here. So we have we have our own problems but. We're not as much under -- I think once he finally gets back on the court we can see what we're dealing with and he's back don't Iran I think for all of us that are hoops fans I would. I want their -- -- I wanna be able exceed that team at their best and what they really can and cannot do against you know the Miami's hopefully. He -- until he's out there it's kind of hard to gauge how far that -- about. The Dennis Rodman North Korea story is still some pop up. Making headlines today the secretary of state even way again. Locally we say this is Dennis being down as we've had a lot of -- nationally what's the opinion on Dennis Rodman. I think most of us started out with the -- that is Dennis being Dennis I think what has been. The problem or what is maybe got a let a lot of us to kind of take -- turn from. Oh he's a clown too you know what this guy is actually very ignorant and it probably should stop talking about it is the fact that he was just so quick. To defend you know Kim -- -- not a guy that. I'm not sure anyone should defend let your blood relative at this point and so it just makes you wonder AE crew sent Dennis Robin what was he told. When he was sent on -- trip you know what kind of propaganda was he willing to read it at all because it sounds to me as though he has not done any research. On what North -- like for the people of that country you know on the latest news here is of course he got kicked out of a a hotel here in Times Square. Because I guess he was waving around the manifesto trying to get somebody to listen to him about his new best friend the dictator of North Korea and what a cool guy is in the hotel wasn't having that so this be one of those turn of the Dennis Rodman has made it's going to take a little bit longer to come back from not quite as cute as -- wedding dress this time. But the big question is how much money was he paid to go over there nobody's talking about that either. Nobody I just what I wanna know is we've heard before about how much he yet. It's got to be day. Alright you're a big and then they fans we recently saw the first ever female about UFC history for a title. How big you think women's mixed martial arts can get. I believe that the that the potential is there effort to go is pretty much as big as it wants now the finding is. I'm still hearing from guys that are front friends strangers at bars what have you. A lot of guys are still cringing. At the idea of two women basically just beating the pulp out of each other. It's hard for me I understand that as they women because I just I wanna see two great fighters go at it and do the best they can. I really taking gender into it I think the biggest issue now for Dana White the USC is. They told us that got ten of the best female fighters from around the world ready to go lined up to take on -- the now we have to make sure that these are real competitors she's are gonna face -- should take next to somebody that she's already fought and won against. If they have the competition. I think this thing could last a while the last and we want is for this to the idea of one and done novelty because. A people enjoyed it everywhere I went people enjoyed the fight she is somebody that's fun to root for she doesn't take any garbage from anyone she speaks her mind. In in the world of sports you know you and I we love guys like women like that I should say. The football because it gives us more talk about. Yeah I just I'm not a huge MMA and I like boxing war. I just don't think women's MMA. Has the upside that maybe they think it might. And they give me I don't wanna watch Leila Ali box I wanna watch guys box and it's not going to be chauvinistic and to be announced. No and you know what I I would have to tell myself everything starts this way everything starts off with. I only wanna see -- women do that and then as time goes by and look I I understand they're still men watching you right now talking about sports that are like just excited about sports that's where I get it. -- they're wrong but again it I just I think it's going to be one of those things it takes time and if they can keep that competition that level of competition. I mean it's a big deal that a female headline and and then made big event and so. As long as there are women ready willing and able who are as good as -- around the if not better. I just don't see the difference I think a good fight is a good fight regardless of the gender. Right what if you get to the windy city. You've got a seat open -- warrior we'd love the panel would love to have a chance to debate sports with you. I would love you know what I'm heavily -- this summer I'm -- this whole winter thing to pass and I will be there I would what you guys have come up on the cross over this week.
