New news he's been medically cleared because he's been played against his teammates -- but then there's also reports that maybe there's a rift between the Bulls and Derrick Rose. That's not true. Well I think that's fodder for talk radio right now it's just some of the talk about for the golf but for the broadcast standing talking to the Bulls organization. They feel like nothing much has changed you know Derek has been cleared to participate in five on five. Live practice and situations no restrictions self he is out of pace try to get yourself ready for game action. There is no rift between the Bulls in the Rose camp in terms of the Bulls try to push -- back on the floor for games. And roses camp trying to hold him back when -- is ready to play he'll be out there I think every little bit frustrated because -- thought was he probably would be -- -- -- after the all star break. Certainly by early march. It's taken -- a little bit longer than expected to clear that final psychological hurdle that and he's gonna be OK I contested in the game and as soon as there is ready they'll be out there and. The thing about planning on his left leg of their said that weeks ago he wants fielded don't comfortably and aggressively off that -- that left leg. When they bring him back let's say Derek decides. In the next few days you know what I do feel good I'm ready to go is it better to have -- -- -- homers and better to have him come back on the road. I don't think it makes much difference look I think at this point right now it's all about -- feeling confident -- -- that would explode solve it makes it violent content tries to go up to the basket. Nothing's gonna happen to the knee and I think once he feels that -- that that's not an issue whether it's home or road he'll be the same Derrick -- that we see those first. Three years of the NBA I think it's just a question that right now. He's got to be confident and neither when he gets in the game he's going to be okay. I think that he'll probably be back the next couple weeks I don't have any inside information I just think you're watching how hard he's working before games. And during practice sessions I think he's pointing toward something. He knows this team needs a lift right now with Kirk Hinrich out they've also had injuries and Taj Gibson or rip Hamilton the team needs a boost of what better boost and adding a former MVP Carolina. And he's made that the steps he's now he's been on the bench per game he may be on the bench next couple games we'll see what happens. And the confidence they need that something every athlete goes through that -- the ACL eventually you have to take a leap of faith. Yes no question about it I mean he can go through drills he -- through practice sessions. All the way up until next November when the new NBA season starts he still won't know in the back of his mind -- -- the -- but actual game competition. I think Derrick is got to almost that. Pushing yourself forces up to get out there. There's the reality of it is people joke about Tom Thibodeau not playing his guys heavy minutes. He's not gonna play Derrick Rose 35 to forty minutes first time out there -- be and a strict. Minutes limit fifteen to twenty minutes start. And he doesn't have to go and try to dunk the ball every time you can take jump shots you can get your point guard to be a facilitator for his teammates and all those things there and give them his teammates. And the organizational lived I think. Get Derek back out there is the best medicine for what's ailing the Bulls right now.
