Bill Carmody elevated the northwestern basketball program during his thirteen year tenure. Make no bones about it he did so with class integrity and always with the best interest of our student athletes in mind. Northwestern will forever be appreciative to bill and his family. For what he did for northwestern basketball. The two times come for change. Our goal from 491 student athletes is to deliver a world class experience academically. Socially. And athletically. This is our department's mission -- we focus on a daily basis. Athletically each athletically we challenge. And expect our programs coaches. From field hockey to football defense seemed to compete for conference and national championships. We expect the same from our men's basketball program. This is not just about one year. Final decision was based upon my belief that we needed different voice. The new leader change in order to ultimately accomplish our goals.
