Stopping Peterson came with a high price

The Bears controlled running back Adrian Peterson in last Sundays 28-10 handling of the Minnesota Vikings. The NFL just didnt approve of the way they did it sometimes.

CSNChicago.com has confirmed that linebacker Brian Urlacher has been assessed a 15,750 fine for a horse-collar tackle of Peterson. Defensive tackle Henry Melton received a bill for 7,875 for taking down by the facemask in the fourth quarter. The fines were first reported by the Chicago Tribune.

Those two tickets topped the 21,000 that Vikings defensive end Jared Allen has been fined for his blow to the head of guard Lance Louis after a Minnesota interception. Louis suffered a knee injury on the play and is lost for the season.
