The Rockford IceHogs season came to an end on Sunday when the Grand Rapids Griffins eliminated them in the Western Conference Semifinals of the Calder Cup Playoffs.
The Blackhawks are welcoming back a couple of familiar faces as they do some bulking up for the start of the playoffs.
The Blackhawks announced Thursday that the team agreed to terms with forward Tanner Kero on a two-year deal. He'll report to the AHL's Rockford IceHogs.
Apparently the Blackhawks weren't completely done dealing after all.
The day after the Blackhawks' overtime loss to the Vancouver Canucks, Teuvo Teravainen got a call from coach Joel Quenneville informing him that he'd been reassigned to the AHL's Rockford IceHogs.
