After calling a memorable White Sox game together last summer in Anaheim, Jason Benetti and NBA Hall of Famer Bill Walton reunited in this fun and enlightening conversation on the White Sox Talk Podcast.

Known for his irreverent personality and unique perspectives on life, Walton arrived with wisdom, advice and humor.

He spoke about how he's overcome adversity, and the importance of staying positive during tough times.

"What do you do when the ball bounces away from you? How do you get out of the muck?" said Walton, who's battled through 38 surgeries from his basketball days.

Benetti and Walton got together for the “Be Chicago: Together We Can” benefit show that ran on NBC Sports Chicago, which raised money for the United Way’s COVID Response Fund in the Chicagoland area.

“I like change. That's the only constant in history is change,”  Walton said. “Who are we going to be on the other side COVID-19? We don't know when it's going to be, but we can do something about who we're going to be.  And I want to be better, and I want our country and our world to be better.”

They also talked about their experience calling a White Sox game together, the Grateful Dead, John Wooden and more.
