With 10 matches left in Major League Soccer’s regular season Sunday’s Toyota Park battle with the Houston Dynamo shouldn’t be considered a must-win for the Fire – but it’s close.
Coming from the Fire’s longest-standing beat writer (going back to Day 1 of the franchise over 16 years ago), this should be considered a fair appraisal.
Needless to say, Saturday’s 2-0 road loss to the New England Revolution was a costly one for the Fire.
