GLENDALE, Ariz --- When the White Sox acquired Jeff Samardzija from the A’s to team him up with Chris Sale, it gave them quite the dynamic 1-2 punch at the top of the rotation.


The White Sox may not have brought home the hardware that they set out to get at the beginning of the year, but some of their top players might be adding to their trophy collection soon. 


Rick Hahn’s sale pitch to free agents this offseason won’t be forced as it was a year ago.


Rick Hahn has cash to spend this offseason and it’s partly because of several team-friendly contracts signed in the past two seasons.
