PITTSBURGH – The Cubs and the Kane County Cougars have rolled out advertisements that promise fans will catch a glimpse of the future.
The Cubs have marketed Starlin Castro as a building block, a cornerstone player fans can watch and root for during the rebuilding process.
Matt Garza, out since spring training with a strained left lat muscle, will start for the Cubs on Tuesday at Pittsburgh, his first major league start since July 21 of last year.
Matt Harvey can do it all.
We all knew the Mets phenom and Sports Illustrated coverboy could pitch, but Friday, he doomed the Cubs with his bat, too.
When the Cubs first reported for spring training three months ago, there were six good options for the starting rotation. Somebody was going to get left out in the cold.
