BOSTONBulls leading scorer Luol Deng is a game-time decision for Friday nights contest against the Celtics, due to a pulled hamstring.
Deng, the NBAs leader in minutes per game, suffered the injury in the first quarter of Wednesday evenings overtime win in Toronto, but returned to the game after exiting briefly.
Its okay. Its a little tight. I didnt do anything at all Thursday, an off day for the Bulls, just icing and stretching as much as I can. I should be fine by tonight. I still havent ran or anything on it. Im probably going to do that later, before the game, Deng, who asked reporters if there was ice under the Air Canada Centre floor -- with the NHL lockout ending, hockey's Toronto Maple Leafs are back in business and held an open practice Thursday morning -- said before the teams morning shootaround at TD BankNorth Garden. I think Im going to play.
Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau said Dengs status was day-to-day and was unsure if the starting small forward would participate in shootaround.
Well see how hes doing. Treatment Thursday, said Thibodeau, who turned 55 years old Thursday. A little better yesterday, but well see. Game-time decision.
