One of the most memorable moments of "The Last Dance" so far came in Episodes 3 and 4, when Dennis Rodman requested (and was granted permission for) a 48-hour vacation to Las Vegas in the middle of the Bulls' 1997-98 season.
What ensued was a raucous bender in Sin City, which ESPN featured some behind-the-scenes footage of, and a hilarious story of Michael Jordan fishing Rodman (and then-partner Carmen Electra) out from Rodman's Chicago apartment well after the hiatus was supposed to end.

Shocking, albeit on brand, stuff. Apparently, the tale was also surprising to Rodman's son, DJ, who said on a recent Instagram Live that seeing the scenario play out in "The Last Dance" was the first he'd heard the story.
"The only thing I didn’t know was when he took that vacation, when he asked them to go on that vacation," DJ Rodman said of Sunday's episodes. "I knew like everything else but not that.
“I was like, I didn’t know you could do that. I didn’t know you could just go up to your coach and be like ‘Hey, I need a vacation.’"

Well, perhaps not everyone could. But not every player was Dennis Rodman, and not every coach was Phil Jackson.
The Bulls didn't always dominate conventionally, but they did it better than everyone else. As "The Last Dance" presses on, that is sure to continue shining through.
