Downers Grove South senior four-star ranked offensive tackle recruit Erik Swenson (6-foot-5, 300 pounds) shockingly decommited from Michigan this morning and made the announcement via his Twitter account.

Swenson, who had been committed to Michigan since November 2013, reopened his recruiting process today will now need to find a new school to call home.

Swen Swenson, Erik's father told Rivals.com's Josh Helmholdt today that, "(Michigan) pulled his offer for no reason other than his loyalty."

Swenson, who carries a 3.8 GPA had multiple scholarship offers before giving Michigan his verbal commitment. However, many of those same schools have already filled up at offensive tackle. Swenson has already begun to draw renewed interest from the likes of Iowa State, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern and Vanderbilt. Swenson is also slated to play in an upcoming All Star game next week and will have limited time to make any official visits before the February 3rd National Letter of Intent Signing Day.
