Brett Favre has had one full season out of the NFL and the Packers have won a Super Bowl title without him behind center. But at least one side does not seem ready to make up.

The three-time league MVP was recently interviewed by Deion Sanders for the NFL Network and said that he had no relationship with the Packers organization.

In May, Packers president Mark Murphy, who was with the team when it chose to keep Aaron Rodgers as its starting quarter back and traded Favre to the Jets, said that Favre deserved to have his number officially retired in a ceremony at Lambeau Field. However, he said it would be a year or two before that happened, at a time that was "meaningful to him."

When Sanders asked 42-year-old Favre, who spent 16 seasons with the Packers, about going back to Green Bay for a jersey retirement ceremony or Brett Favre Day, he responded, Why?

He followed up by saying he did not need to have a ceremony to "solidify my career."

In fairness to Favre, he probably doesn't need another retirement on his rsum.
