When your dream school comes calling, it's pretty hard to say no.

Hinsdale (Ill.) Central senior guard Doug Kramer Jr (6-foot-3, 274 pounds) de-committed from Florida Atlantic and committed to Illinois tonight after the Fighting Illini offered Kramer Jr. a greyshirt offer while making a weekend official visit.

"Illinois offered me a greyshit for the Class of 2017, so I committed," Kramer Jr. said. "Illinois has been my dream school since I was a little kid. Both of my parents went to Illinois and once they offered me I just couldn't pass it up."

Kramer Jr. will enroll at Illinois in the fall of 2016 and will then be added to a full scholarship or "greyshirted" starting in the spring semester of 2017. The scholarship will count towards the Class of 2017.

"I grew up wearing Illinois jerseys, watching Illinois football, visiting for games and just going back to campus for different events so I was always surrounded by Illinois," he said. "I dreamed of playing for the Fighting Illini since I was a little kid so it's just so huge for me and my family. It's still crazy to think about it but I'm really excited and I'm ready to get to work now."
