Mr. Basketball in Illinois has found his future school as Morgan Park guard Charlie Moore committed to Cal on Wednesday, he announced on Twitter.

The 5-foot-11 point guard was previously committed to Memphis this fall before former head coach Josh Pastner moved on to Georgia Tech this spring. Moore re-opened his recruitment after Pastner left.

As a senior at Morgan Park, Moore was a dynamic scoring point guard, as he averaged 28 points, seven assists and five steals per game.

During the recruiting process, Moore took an official visit to Cal last fall as he was also considering Illinois, Georgia Tech, LSU, Miami, SMU, UNLV and Western Kentucky this spring.

Regarded as the No. 55 overall prospect in Rivals.com's Class of 2016 national rankings, Moore should give the Golden Bears the point guard they need after Tyrone Wallace graduated in the spring.
