Jason Campbell

When Josh McCown rejoined the Bears in 2012, coming back as insurance behind Jason Campbell when Jay Cutler sustained a concussion in mid-season he became more than just a No.

More than a few Bears fans would have preferred that the 2009 trade that brought Jay Cutler to Chicago never happened. Whether one of those was Cutler himself, hard to say.

When in doubt, trot in an ex-Bear quarterback to help out.

Not everything is as simple as it seems sometimes. And sometimes the reasons for a problem are so obvious as to be overlooked.

Take the Bears passing offense, for instance.

The 21-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers cost the Bears the NFC North (Green Bay clinched), very likely the playoffs and very possibly Lovie Smith and his staff their jobs.
