It appears the Cubs will head to St. Louis for their upcoming series against the Cardinals this weekend.

Cardinals president John Mozeliak told reporters the team's COVID-19 tests from Tuesday morning came back negative, their second batch to do so. They're cleared to travel home and return to play Friday, the opener of a three-game set against the Cubs at Busch Stadium.

The Cardinals have been quarantining at their hotel in Milwaukee after learning last Thursday two players tested positive for COVID-19. In total, seven players and six staff members tested positive, including catcher Yadier Molina and shortstop Paul DeJong.

The Cubs have been preparing to go to St. Louis. Earlier Tuesday, team president Theo Epstein said if Major League Baseball determines this weekend's series will be played as scheduled, it'll mean they've determined it is safe to do so.
