The Tennessee Titans have not defended anything particularly well. So:
The mantra of the Chicago Bears defense is to take away an opponents run game and make that team one-dimensional, then loose the pass rush.
The 2012 Bears overall is excellent, as good as could be expected: 6-1. But as coordinator Mike Tice said on Wednesday, the performance against the Panthers obviously was not resume material.
An overriding point last offseason was adding weapons on offense, making it impossible for teams to stop the Bears by stopping Matt Forte.
Ugly wins count as well as pretty ones and the Bears kept a two-step NFC North lead on Green Bay with their come-from-behind win over Carolina while Minnesota also lost.
