Matt Szczur dresses up as himself for Halloween

Share

It's been a while since Cubs fans saw Matt Szczur in royal blue pinstripes but some lucky trick or treaters on Halloween got to see it again on Wednesday.

Szczur dressed as a Cubs player, complete with World Series Champion patch on his arm, to hand out candy to kids. Presumably this is his uniform and not someone else's.

Also... not only do kids get to meet a Major League Baseball player on Halloween, he gives out full-sized candy bars.

After playing in 107 games during the 2016 season, Szczur was traded to the San Diego Padres in the middle of the 2017 season after playing just 15 games with Chicago. He played in 57 games with the Padres in 2018 and is currently a free agent.

There will always be a special place in Cubs' fans heart for Szczur's role in the 2016 season.
