It's the dog days of September for the sub-.500 White Sox, playing the equally homeward-bound last-place Minnesota Twins this weekend, before setting off on their last road trip of the season.
Overwhelmed by Twins starter Trevor May's 10 strikeouts, the White Sox couldn't find enough offense to overcome Hector Noesi's long-ball troubles, and fell, 6-4, in the series finale Sunday.
Three comebacks was just enough for the Sox.
Paul Konerko said he took some "dry swings" yesterday and felt 'OK' afterward. He has not played since Sept. 2 in Minnesota due to a fracture sesamoid bone in his left hand.
