NEWARK, N.J.Steve Montador is back in the lineup, and the Blackhawks will likely dress seven defensemen when they play the New Jersey Devils tonight at the Prudential Center.

Its been a while for Montador (concussion), who will be playing in his first game since Feb. 7. But the defenseman said hes ready to go.

I have a lot of energy, and anytime I get out there tonight I just want to put it to good use, track the puck but also be thinking out there, he said. Once you get out there, all the energys put to good use.

Coach Joel Quenneville said the Blackhawks will probably dress seven defensemen and work (Montador) in.

Its been a while. We just want him to get in the game, keep it simple and go hard in the puck areas, Quenneville said.

The Blackhawks will be playing a Devils team thats been struggling lately, winning just one of their last five games (1-3-1). Martin Brodeur will start for the Devils and Corey Crawford starts for the Blackhawks. Brodeur is 8-3-6 with a 2.01 goals-against average in his career vs. Chicago. This is Crawfords first career game against New Jersey.

Meanwhile, back in Chicago, Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews skated for the eighth consecutive days. Quenneville said Toews was not going to be cleared for contact today.
