It looked like the unpredictability of the Big Ten was going to strike again Tuesday night in Madison.
Wisconsin sits in fourth-place in the Big Ten standings, but there might not be a team in the conference with a better NCAA tournament resume than the Badgers.
It wasn’t the blowout it was in the first meeting this season between Illinois and Wisconsin, but just like that Jan. 8 matchup in Madison, the Badgers were simply the better team.
Michigan State is the highest-ranked Big Ten team, currently sitting at No. 3 in the country, with sights set on putting a few trophies in the trophy case in East Lansing.
The Badgers are off to the best start in school history, and the win that got them there might have been their best of the season.
