Stars captain fined for spraying water at Hawks player

Dallas Stars captain and forward Jamie Benn was fined $5,000 by the NHL Saturday for unsportsmanlike conduct after squirting water in the face of Chicago Blackhawks winger MacKenzie Entwistle.

On Friday, Entwistle took a big hit by Stars' Michael Raffl late in the third period and skated past the Stars bench where he was sprayed by Benn with a squeezable Gatorade bottle filled with water.

The Blackhawks lost 1-0 in a shootout, but both Marc-Andre Fleury and Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger were credited with a shutout when regulation ended. Fleury was stellar throughout the entire game and even had the save of the game in the second period. He finished with 29 saves and recorded his fourth shutout with the Hawks.

"All game we hung in there and didn’t do too much," Fleury said after the loss. "Had to go all the way to settle it down. Still disappointing to come out with a loss when so close to get that win. It would be nice to get one there at home."
