Tommy Armstrong won't play Saturday when Nebraska takes on Maryland.
The Huskers' senior quarterback made the start last weekend just a week after getting knocked unconscious and carted off the field to an awaiting ambulance in a loss to Ohio State.
He played well in last weekend's win over Minnesota, scoring the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter, but he didn't finish the game, suffering a hamstring injury that required his exit and kept him out of practice all this week.

It's a bummer won't be able to play in what would've been his final game at Memorial Stadium. He is the program leader in total offense, passing yards, touchdown passes and completions. This season he's completed 53.3 percent of his passes for 2,055 yards and 13 touchdowns plus 499 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground.
He posted this message on Instagram right before kickoff.
"First I want to thank the University of Nebraska for allowing me to be a part of such a great team. Secondly I would like to say thank you to the fans who have always been a part of my life these past five years. You guys have supported not only me but this team through all tough times and great times. I know I promised that I would play, but sometimes there are things you just can't recover from as fast. I would kill to be out there one last time with my boys, but I know they will do just fine. I just want the fans in Nebraska to know I gave it my all, and it saddens me to walk out there my last time without that uniform on again with my brothers. I'll always cherish the moments I left on this field and the friendships I made. I will soak in every moment I can this last home game because I know I will never see another fan base like this again. You guys are truly the greatest fans in the world. You have been more than just fans to me over my career at Nebraska. You have been like a family to me!!!! And for that I say thank you!!! Thank you HuskerNation for all the years you believed in me. #GBR"
The start went instead to backup Ryker Fyfe, who relieved Armstrong in that game at Ohio State. Fyfe has thrown 90 passes in his career for 578 yards and seven touchdowns, including going 7-for-24 for 94 yards and a score in limited action this season.
Nebraska hasn't won a game Armstrong hasn't started since he took over as the starter as a redshirt freshman during the 2013 season. Fyfe started one of those losses two seasons ago against Purdue.
